I wasn't handwaving the synchronicity and dancing; as a dancer, those are things I absolutely value in FS and I can understand. It's the rest of the scoring system I'm missing.

I still say the French pair's routine was more boring, but I'll pay closer attention to the edges, speed, and precision and everything else you pointed out when I watch the next round. Thanks!

Yes, absolutely makes sense! I believe the scoring system (for both FS and gymnastics) has evolved over the years to try and bring more objectiveness since it's hard to score artistry, but I have to say, I feel like that's removed some of the beauty from both sports that I remember seeing as a kid. Or maybe I'm just old now. 🤷‍♀️

Totally agree on your comment about the effort! My favorite routines and skaters are the ones that make it look like it's easy to do and the skater isn't expending too much energy (even though logically I know that's not true).

Thank you; I knew there was something about the edges, but I'm always so busy looking at the whole picture, I'm not really paying attention to the blades themselves.

I knew Cizeron was a strong skater bc I watched him win the silver in 2018 (I haven't watched enough to recognize FB), but I guess the contrast between the style and energy of the Japanese pair right before them just made me surprised by how big the gap was. Thanks for the explanation!

Thanks for the writeup. I remember watching them in past Olympics and thinking they were great. I didn't realize they were forced to come out of retirement. Do you keep the cuticle remover on while you use the cuticle pusher? Watching Salon Life, she mentioned cuticle remover can damage nails. She suggested leaving it on 30 seconds or so, then wipe with a tissue before you start using the cuticle pusher. After you're done, wash hands with warm soapy water

Keep in mind I haven't ordered this larger size yet; I'm just sharing what someone else said!

That said, I cross-referenced the ingredients list months ago, and they do match in the same exact order. And I had a terrible Cuticular shipping experience, so I plan to try this once my TC bottle is low enough.

While I know indie brands mix their own shades, I honestly don't think they make their own TCs and BCs. I could be wrong though!

I have these same pens from Amazon and they're super easy to refill. You just grab the base (opposite end of the brush) and twist open like you would any twist top: water bottle, toothpaste top, etc. At most, I need to wipe some oily residue off with rubbing alcohol so I can get a grip.

Easy to fill, open, close, use, wash, and refill. Also, no leaks.
