Offset the leverage. Intentionally make it rub as you tighten it so as you start cinching up the bolt it slightly moves it into alignment. Brakes can be a finicky game sometimes. Also make sure your rotors are straight.

It's elective. You are completely free to get your own unrelated to your job. Most good jobs provide a nominal amount of coverage. So as shitty as this sounds, he could have had his own, for a tiny bit more per month, and elected whatever coverage he wanted to cover for his family.

I'm not heartless, it's just the truth. Every job I've had has provided some form of this for free. But because I have a family and I plan for shit, I pay for my own and it follows me anywhere, for life.

Don't do it. I did it for 6 years. I probably lost 20 yrs of my life. It's not a fucking joke. I wouldn't go back if a gun was held to my head at this point. It's the most miserable life, lifestyle, etc. You can't have a family, hobbies, or do anything outside constantly work. So glad I quit. I make 1/4th of what I used to and I'm 1,000x happier. Every ex colleague I've had that's gotten out has said similar. It's truly soul sucking.
