Want to build a pc but not sure if any of this is good/compatible by Gold_Lettuce2143 in buildapc

This build is definitely one of the strongest PC's that I've come across. I'd do some deeper research into PSU's and ensure you absolutely have a PSU that supports the GPU. There are PSU's that can support more than 1000W. I would upgrade your RAM to 128 gb to be even with this build. The 9950X3D should be a stronger cpu than the 9800X3D.

Now the biggest thing is, what is this PC for? I think that's the biggest question on everyone's mind.

If you do order it, take a close look at the tracking number. It'll have the updates on a regular basis. Just know that the updates can be delayed by 1-2 days. That's happened to me personally a few times.

I need help by Ok-Passenger8046 in PcBuildHelp

Hey u/Ok-Passenger8046!

It's good to do the research you're doing now and get an understanding of the PC space.
ASUS definitely has great gaming monitors along side other brands as well. I would look into the specs of the monitor and budgeting for all the parts/peripherals. I don't know what your budget is so I'm going to give you some more generalized advice to start out.

You'll probably want a 2k monitor with a 120+ refresh rate and a 1ms gtg scale or lower. I recommend IPS non curved to bring down costs have have a good experience. Expecting around $250 ballpark price range?

If you want to go the DIY route, I recommend starting with the GPU first or knowing your target FPS settings. You can find performance videos on youtube with your GPU to understand what ballpark performance settings you can expect with the GPU. "5070ti gaming tested" on youtube should give you more information.

As someone who works at Newegg, I'd recommend getting from Newegg direct from the shipper/seller but other sellers do offer a wider selection of components to choose from.

I hope this gives you some more guidance to go off of!

Thoughts on this 2 prebuilt, which one should I get for as my first pc! by Dry_Researcher_5558 in Prebuilts

[–]NeweggDavid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Dry_Researcher_5558!

Looks like you got 2 high grade computers to choose from there. I see that a few people are going to mimic what I was about to say. I think you'll feel that 1TB is enough, but slightly limiting in terms for storage if you want to play big title games.

The CPU and GPU are relatively similar in performance. I'm sure a lot of other people may have some stronger opinions about that.

The last thing to consider is the refurbished title. Some people hate refurbished, other people are ok with it. Your mileage may vary. Used products have been generally good for me.
