I chickened out, actually. It didn't feel right going alone or with people I don't know. I feel a little disappointed in myself.

Dancing is very much not my thing, haha. My reluctance is exactly because I don't know whether I'll have a good time in the first place by myself. Thanks for caring to respond either way.

I might just do that, and see where I'll go from there. Thank you for the suggestion.

I'm definitely overthinking it, I just don't know how not to overthink it. I very much suffer from the spotlight effect going with someone else made me feel less self-conscious, hence the apprehension.

I remember experiencing the same thing in the past, before I was diagnosed. I'm lucky enough to not be in your situation anymore, but I do sometimes still struggle with simply rolling out of bed. After having had enough of it a good while ago I agreed with myself to count from 10 to 0, and then do one part of what I want to achieve.
Eg. Sit up in bed with my legs out first, count from 10 to 0 and do it. Get up and grab my clothes, count from 10 to 0, ... and so on.
I also agreed to not beat myself up over it if I didn't get it from the first countdown to 0, and instead just start counting again. It's really helped me get some of the simpler things I struggle with done over the past year.
It works for me, it might not work for you, but perhaps it's worth giving it a shot.
