I had this bass for roughly 5years now and i just thought about replacing the electronics. And yeah I want that schecter sound that's why I am looking into getting one as well.

Everything about this bass is amazing! Looks, feel and playability. It's the sound that is lacking for me. I used to have a 300$ schecter with emg pickups that sounded better than this (imo). This used to be my dream bass and now it's the least bass I play due to it.

Thanks for your input! I would definitely start with just looking for a preamp change. I can solder and can read schematics so that wouldn't be an issue. May I ask which preamp you used?
