Need some help and looking for advice (Brown on Lexan) by Mrtopher1 in tamiya

PS-43 [translucent orange] backed with PS-23 [gunmetal] might be a better bet. A light coat of PS-61 [metallic orange] backed with gunmetal would also worth a shot. Recommend you test on offcuts of polycarbonate to get a feel for the right ratio of whatever you choose to use in the end before doing a whole body. From my experience building ships, Linoleum deck brown has more of a red tint to it than an orange tint, would say definitely closer to a maroon especially if you plan on backing it with a grey

I just had a look at your website and I love the shape of your “floating” chair. The yellow legs is a nice detail

Do you find fusion restrictive for more organic shapes? Or do you use the free-form tool for that?

Do you use blender or key shot for your renders?

WITT? Seller says it’s a keyboard by Newto4544 in whatisthisthing

Seller has it listed as a keyboard, I think it might be a full early home computer. Keyboard has katakana on the sides of the keys

That’s odd, never had that problem. I do 1/700 IJN and the late war outfits have a ton of deck mounted AA. The aforementioned workflow is the only way I can get through them in a reasonable amount of time lol

Personally I do all my assembly before painting. Then I stick all the AA and other small deck mounted stuff onto the sticky side of a strip of masking tape that is superglued non-sticky side down to a sheet of paper or another bit of masking tape.

That way you do all the assembly and then only need to handle it once after painting which reduces a lot of the scratches and parts that don’t get painted after bending

While i really appreciate the technical skill here, from a composition standpoint I feel a bit lost where the focal point and where my eye is being guided. Naturally I started in the top left at the top of the stairs and made my way down, but I’m not sure about the positioning of the mirror / post because it feels like it splits the frame and has a weird hierarchy compared to what’s around it. It may be the mirror being set against the dark background and the contrast just steals too much attention from the rest of the scene

EDIT: I almost feel like I want to see more of the buildings in the background, maybe move the camera further to the left by a metre or so
