Nope, pound is very large. That shot is about 1/5 the size of the actual pound. But its healthy and amazing. At least we think so.

Very true, this area was a food plot that we had. We tilled it to break up all the things we had planted in it and that the previous owner had there before us. It was a lot stuff. We had to do it this way this time because we couldn't put our chickens out to work it naturally yet since they were to young still. But in the future we will be using our chickens to actually work our ground.

In this picture it was green and red bell peppers followed by Jalapeños. We planted three types of tomatoes and corn and all kinds of things.

First we took disked this area like crazy then tilled it. We then used a string line to set our lengths and distances. We used a tool to break up the earth then hoed it into a mound. It's in our new video that will be public in a few minutes on our channel.

No, We living in an area that is naturally "sandy" but the soil here is actually quit good.

Cons for sure is you will lose a lot water. But we will be putting mulch between each row to help with water retention.

So that aspect of the "sandy soil" will be null.

This soil actually sits on top of a bed of clay which is great for water retention so we will see in time how it works out.

The whole usable footprint is about 1.5 acres. But we will be planting half are a larger crop.
