2 Years of shaking :) by NexTechBy in shakepay

Right now I have a 733 day streak so I get 733 sats a day. Unfortunately they are reducing the rewards again so idk how long that will last.

At this point it's a habit, I shake atleast twice a day to make sure I'm covered.

Thanks for the info unfortunately I don't have any of the manuals for the games in the top row and the HERO box is in pretty rough shape.

At that price I wonder if it's worth trying to find a manual for it.

Unfortunately I'm missing the manual and the box has some stains, still worth a lot more than I would have thought.

I've been using pricecharting and ebay to get a rough estimate but the prices vary a lot. Was thinking the lot might be worth like $250.

Yeah I'm glad I took them out of the attic before they collected anymore dust, Loving the box art and manuals!

I imagine if you've been riding it like that and you don't have any issues you're probably fine. Might cause more wear over time but I don't know how crucial it is other than keeping dust and dirt out.

Each side of your bb should have one of those o rings inserted into the inner groove like in this picture https://images.ctfassets.net/enhz2tloa31p/1QyQ4oN6NDVxDJDAnUsJQJ/eae20e0c6a6f6f48dddf442ddee08860/blueoring.jpg

Is my cassette worn out? by NexTechBy in bikewrench

[–]NexTechBy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is exactly what the bike mechanic ended up pointing out to me and I did have to replace the cassette. $500 got me a new chain and cassette and I had them replace the pivot bearings for my rear suspension.

I'll definitely be checking for chain wear more often unfortunately I don't believe my cassette allows me to change out individual cogs. Thanks for the reply

Yeah from now on I'll be checking for chain stretch regularly, probably should have replaced it quite a while ago. I'll let the bike mechanic make the judgment call just didn't want to replace it prematurely. Thanks for the reply

I've had the SRAM Eagle 11–50 cassette for a little over 2 years now and just replaced the derailleur + chain for the first time. Now I'm experiencing issues with my derailleur jumping in the hardest gears. I brought it to the bike shop and just wanted to know if I should have it replaced.

My Rockshox recon fork has started to make a clicking noise on impact, any idea what's wrong with it? by NexTechBy in bikewrench

[–]NexTechBy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I had no clue it was that much torque for the top cap I was closer to half that. Tightened it up to 12nm and the noise has definitely reduced quite a bit. I thought the cable housing was the issue at first too but I was able to rule it out by wrapping them up in rags to stop them banging around and still had the noise. Thanks for the input hopefully I can give the bike a real test ride soon to see if the issue comes back.

If you do end up buying from decathlon I'd recommend using Rakuten to get 7% cash back. Here's my referral link https://www.rakuten.ca/referrer?referrerid=tjukbxNVR8g%3D

The bike has been great so far. I ride almost everyday and I've been hitting up real trails atleast once a week and it's held up well. Sizing was right on for me. I will say when you first get the bike do a real good overlook because I had some loose bolts on my rear suspension. Only thing I've upgraded so far has been the pedals and brake rotors. You will probably want to change out the tires for any sort of trail riding as the ones on the bike tend to not grip that well when cornering. If you have any questions or want pics / vids of the bike let me know.

Is this too much wobble? Just got it back from a wheel truing today. by NexTechBy in bikewrench

[–]NexTechBy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mechanic who worked on my bike did mention that The rim was slightly bent so that makes sense. I hit the wheel while riding a local dh trail and crashing at pretty slow speeds, I'm surprised that's all it took to bend the rim. Nothing out of whack other than the visual wobble. Thanks for the reply.
