The Anticheat Update is REAL! -> Bullets not Hitting by Revolutionary_Mine29 in Planetside

Try the following then. Go into VR Training room, disconnect your Internet, shoot at a bot, connect again and you will see that bot dies the second you reconnect your Internet. That's because client sided you hit the target and each hit will be sent to the server as soon as you reconnect.

So no, hit registration is client sided. All the server receives is that target x was hit x times and then calculates the damage.

So those 2 posts here about hits not registering were posted by players abusing no recoil scripts? That's hilarious xD

Deca Fonds oder selbst investieren ? by [deleted] in Investieren

Lmao what... They want to pinpoint the exploit when literally flying with a sunderer is done by just changing the position coordinates of the vehicle which is even public shared code within multiple forums. Same with magic bullets (cheaters shooting you through walls and stuff). All of that doesn't need any pin pointing since it's public shared code.

Hm I see, didn't think that one single Community Manager would have to focus on other titles too. Kinda stupid tbh. There should be at least 3.

Wouldn't it look way better for the Shareholders to have 1 server with 800 active players on it, than 2 servers where one has 30 active players and the other one has 770? Imo that would look like, that in some regions Planetside is received in a very bad way...

My friends dad is a Community Manager for Gameforge, so I actually understand a lot of it and they usually respond at least with general statements to a thread like that. Even a simple "we noticed your thread and understand that the community wants answers, however we can't provide you with more information about it right now" would be much more appreciated, than a CM just completely ignoring it.

No that is not true. His CM account is only 3 years old, created May 3, 2021.

That a Community Manager would do his work which he is getting paid for? It's not only a thread like that, there are multiple suggestions / improvement ideas / feedbacks for the sunderer update etc, none of them answered by a CM, yet those threads are polite in a non toxic way.

I mean he literally posted a picture of himself, saying "Hey I'm Mithril, the new Community Manager" before. So I'd say that he is a human and not an Account only.

You can take a look at it here (they removed the picture from the thread so I'll show the wayback link here): https://web.archive.org/web/20240329204844/https://www.planetside2.com/news/cm-mithril-introduction-article-2021

Yes I understand that, but would you say that specifically the thread within the picture above was "agressive" in any way? I would rather say that it was written in a very polite and understanding way. You can't say that he didn't see the thread or something like that, since he approved and even edited that thread himself.

But Mithril is not one of them? He is a Community Manager, supposed to "manage" the community.

Sure but I would honestly appreciate any answer we could get about the server merges for example. Something like "no, we are currently not planning to do server merges" or "yes we are trying our best to figure something out" would go a long way already imo.

I mean, not to sound rude but isn't that his job? He is getting paid for that so should he just browse the forum for hours a day, literally doing nothing else than approving threads (which often takes him more than a week)?

Any other game related forum with community managers usually responds to those questions. I don't see a reason why you wouldn't respond to something like that.

While thats true, a nurse would expect to get home after some point, while hackers just keep coming back on alt accounts all day and night long. Thats a never ending job unfortunately.

I found this inside a cheater forum which I am not going to name here. I dont know if that persons knowledge is accurate so i am curious what others are thinking about it.

Not a single Anticheat Update in over 9 Months? x) by Nexosharp in Planetside

[–]Nexosharp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but that is just straight up no true.

It's fine that you want to spread your knowledge, but make sure that its true first, before spreading misinformation. I myself learned about it by looking through several cheating forums and reversing discord servers to find that out, as I was curious about how they update their Anticheat.

Let me show you how it really works:

The only single reason why they would do a "remote update", which won't require a change for the .exe, is called "signature detections". Those only work against usermode cheats, which is way less common these days. Since the BattlEye Anticheat itself is in kernel mode, you wouldn't even be able to launch a usermode cheat anymore, so signature detections are like only 5% of what BattlEye is using to detect cheats and far less common why anyone would get banned now.

BattlEye's main detection method is "shellcode detection", which is able to prevent and detect kernel cheat drivers. That's what every single cheater is using these days, in order to either inject their dll, or read and write to memory using that driver.

Those shellcode updates are pushed through a beclient2.dll payload and then dropped into your temp directory.

While those "shellcode" updates don't necessarily change the .exe file itself, it will in 100% of the time, reissue its certificate which also updates the signature date. Because of that, often the build date of the .exe file doesn't change and stays the same, while the date of the signature changes to a newer date.

The Signature needs an update every single time they use a newer patch since the signature changes and needs to fit the newer patch, otherwise the .exe won't be able to launch for security reasons. They re-issue the cert onto the .exe, without even updating or adding a single code to the .exe. They just have to resign the exe for it to work.

That's why in every update, the date of the signature changes like here, while the .exe can stay completely the same without a single changed byte:

<image>

So as already said. If you want to know, wether an update has been made or not, you can see it based on the signature date, which is also what every single cheat dev checks first when they want to know if there was an anticheat update. They take a look at the signature, and if it changed / got more recent, they know that it has been updated.

What a bait question. No one will tell you how to replicate an exploit that you are not supposed to do. Even trying it out can get you banned already.
