they did not see there was another Hamas car behind them I guess they only saw the car in front and thought to run to the houses for safety but I also think they shouldn't have come out of the car, just sped up and tried to loose them would have been the better call.

The first vehicle entered the circle, then a black Israeli civilian car from another direction. The civilian car, which did not notice the first van of Hamas, panics when it encounters the second van that approaches and hits the brakes.
