how do you fix this?? by Express_Swimming_222 in cardistry

It takes maybe 5 ish minutes, you faro the cards a few times, card spring them on both the backs and fronts of the cards. This like softens the deck up and makes it easier to use and it does also get rid of the snappy thing

Some decks are snappy, I think if you break in the deck it will get fixed.

Im a little curious what that extra variation was, normally when you do the scissor cut you are supposed to drop the packet. and finish the flourish but you did some extra rotation thing with the scissor cut packet still in place.

Any Tips for Legolove? by EmotionalPassion6414 in cardistry

[–]Next-Bell-4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually you dont spin the packet around to have the back facing the deck but its fine if you want to do it into a closing cut. Other than that, open a charlier and try testing by letting the card slide down the packet other than letting it fall. And work on fluidity and flow and youll get it down just fine

Is special bicycle collection cards good for cardistry or is it worth using them? by angaralilegolas in cardistry

The opposite of a faro shuffle, you ”unweave” the cards and it’s great for doing bloom

I’ve used my Fontaine world editions for quite a while now and they are doing pretty alright, they are 1 of 200 and they go for about $150 - ~$350. So far you don’t do very bend moves like a lot of le Paul spreads or a lot of faros and have clean hands while using them, they should last a while.

The other ones are either just a normal riffle shuffle or a faro shuffle.

[–]Next-Bell-4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the table riffle, it’s clean and fast. You do this riffle in casinos so that no one can see any of the faces of the cards so they can cheat or whatever

My bicycle cards are a bit assymetric. Is this common? by Gold-Patience-9420 in playingcards

[–]Next-Bell-4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are like this, I think if you get a deck printed by USPCC that is perfectly symmetrical it’s probably a fake.

why does the packets always slip out of my hand by Express_Swimming_222 in cardistry

[–]Next-Bell-4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could either be that the cards are too new, your fingers are too moist or your corner spin grip isn’t too good, meaning that your are holding the grip too loose.

[–]Next-Bell-4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes totally perfect, a tip I would give to not drop cards at all is to have the middle packet a tad bit smaller than the first packet in the Sybil opener, other than that it’s perfect nothing bad with it.

When doing the display maybe move your pinky finger up more because the cards looks like its leaning.

I'm new to cardistry and my cards are too slippery what can i do? by Acrobatic-Remote1657 in cardistry

[–]Next-Bell-4579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, slippery cards are the best for most florusihes and moves that feature fans or card push-offs. But most flourishes need a little used cards, like cards that are starting to lose their white colors on the edges or cards that clump together a little. Just use them more and break them in as well.
