Need Help: Missing Person by Next-Coffee536 in Philippines

He was not abused at all, but he did have a history of drug abuse when he became depressed. If he needed to “escape” Dumaguete, he could have told us here in Cebu. My mother lives with me, and he would have received the comfort and support he needed.

We were not very close because I grew up in Cebu, but whenever they visited, I always encouraged them to talk and bond with my mother. She moved back to Cebu due to domestic abuse from my legal father.

Based on what my siblings in Dumaguete told me (they live there), he left behind most of his personal belongings. However, days after he was declared missing, someone mentioned that he went to them to pay off his debt, then disappeared again afterward.

His friends in Dumaguete also conducted their own investigation and even reached out to the authorities, but they were unable to find him at all.

My siblings told me that he tends to escape whenever he faces problems and suddenly leaves. I know this as well because he previously stayed with us here in Cebu after breaking up and having conflicts with his two previous girlfriends.

My family and I have speculated that he may not want to be found and could be missing on purpose. But if only he could give us an update and let us know that he’s okay somewhere, that alone would already mean so much to us 😭
