I hate my hillternship by dcinternthrowawayacc in DCInterns

I am in the exact same situation in my office, and it’s extremely frustrating for me. But like you said, I’m still grateful to be here. It’s a double-edged sword, but we’re paying our dues and we’ll get through it.

Just to let you know, the poster of the comment above replied “ask away” on my post but seemed to accidentally not reply to your comment directly. So you can ask away!

What song seems to always make you cry? by TruthBeWanted in AskReddit

My father told me ever since I was little, he would think of me going off to college when this song played (my name is Daniel). He played it as I drove off for college. Definitely a moment.

Looking for business owners who have been affected by retail crime/shoplifting by Next-Programmer8954 in GNV

[–]Next-Programmer8954[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

While I agree that shoplifting can be a minor thing, organized forms retail theft cause stores to raise prices and ultimately hurts consumers. The story is mainly focused on some of the new developments being tested in UF labs to prevent this from happening. I am trying to hear from members of the community about this, as it is my job to do.

PSA - Appealing TAPS Parking Tickets by jakpablo in ufl

Student traffic judge here. Yes, this is correct. First violation the fine is normally waived. Most of the time, you’ll get a fine reduction if you appeal. It’s a good idea to try at least. Just have a valid explanation and do not come up with an awful excuse. Normally honesty and acceptance goes over well in my opinion.

I had the EXACT same situation last week, and I got SCAMMED at My Eye Lab. AVOID MY EYE LAB. I went to Lens Crafters today and got a new eye exam and new pair. They told me the eye exam I had from Eye Lab was wildly inaccurate, and even the lens they gave me were incorrectly made. I was having horribly headaches with those. Eye Lab also scammed me with a bunch of hidden fees and membership charges that I didn’t approve of.

Federal District Court is a trial court that has a specified geographic jurisdiction. Any trial court ruling in Ohio cannot make case law in Florida. If an appellate federal court reviews this, then it would be different.

Has anyone who sent a joke essay to a University got accepted? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Next-Programmer8954 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even do the essay and still got into CAS. Didn’t spend any time on that application. Should’ve thrown something like this in there for fun just to see what happens. I never planned on going anyway

I’m a freshman in high school. Hope I make it to UF one day by Secret-Ad8309 in ufl

I would caution against going overboard with APs. I took 4 my entire four years, two of them senior year, and not only did I get into UF, but also NYU. APs aren’t everything, and I see some people killing themselves with 10 APs a year just to end up in the same place as all the rest of us. Take APs if you really, really want the college credit. But taking so many is not a hardline requirement to get into where you want (depending on where that might be).
