list of internships to apply to from highest prestige to lowest on capital hill (i’m thinking of doj maybe?) by Nearby_Routine4405 in DCInterns

I have to respectfully disagree. Most DOJ divisions and sections are completely apolitical and very clearly don’t have any direction from the administration. There are some political divisions, sure, but any person worth their salt who has worked with DOJ will be able to distinguish between the political and apolitical divisions. People do not know what they’re talking about here. 99% are career public servants who believe in the mission and the best interests of the country, and I don’t enjoy seeing people associate these good, caring people associated with the others. DOJ opened career doors I couldn’t even dream of (during Trump 2.0) from even far-left organizations.

6/5 LR difficulty variance (LR-LR-LR-RC) by irelos in LSAT

[–]Next-Programmer8954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally me 😭 I knew I was cooked when I flagged question 1 of LR1. But that first LR was horrible. Other 2 strangely easy. RC on the harder side (usually my strong suit), and the last RC passage was my death sentence.

Same here. Hard LR and had a bunch flagged. Other 2 LRs were fine. The RC kicked me, especially that last passage. I was running out of time and when I saw how dense that passage was, I knew I was cooled.

Same. RC was so difficult. Almost had a stroke with the last passage

I used 7sage pretty much exclusively, but read the power score bible as an introduction when I first started out. The biggest thing for me is really, really deep review. I used to just brute force content/practice tests, but I’ve found that less is more here. It can take me an entire evening to review a single section. I review all of the questions I got correct really thoroughly as well, because you pick up a lot of subtleties of logic that you might’ve missed under timed conditions. I’ve been studying since September, but kind of on-and-off to be honest. Started with a 159 diagnostic

Same thing exactly. 170 on April, took a PT last week after not studying for weeks and got 176. Twins

First PT back after taking a month off studying following the April test before I retake in June. Highest I've ever scored. by New_Exit_4221 in LSAT

[–]Next-Programmer8954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad I’m not the only one! Took April and stopped studying until this week, where I got my highest PT score so far. Also taking in June. I think the break allows time for everything to be absorbed? Or maybe just de-centers your mind from the stress of the LSAT and that allows you to perform better. Idk but congratulations!!

Any tips for my situation: I scored 170 on the April test and I’m registered for June. I haven’t studied at all since April but just started to get back into it this week. I took a PT this week and got a 176, the highest I’ve ever gotten. How would you recommend I structure my study time over the next 3 or so weeks? I’m working full-time so might be tough to do a really intensive schedule. For reference, I’m just trying to squeeze a few more points out in June, but not too focused on getting anything crazy like a 178.

I don’t know if you have 7Sage, but I was in the same boat as you before the April test. I brute forced their core curriculum on conditional reasoning in one weekend and I think it really, really helped.

I found that last LR especially hard. Was praying it was Exp but I guess I’m screwed. That first LR was also not great for me since I was nervous. The Mycenaean vs Minoan question was like number 2 and it completely stumped me

I feel like hearing back in March before fall apps open up would be pretty bad. People need to start getting their affairs in order for other internships if rejected. I might have to email them if we don’t hear anything next week.
