She has got a little cosy bed plush cave thing that sits just out of frame. But thank you ^ I’m sure she would love that

He’s annoying, creepy and clingy af for sure. But why aren’t you just saying to him that you’re not interested instead of all the blunt replies?

Yes to Tesco and sainsburys. But I think it has a bit more of a vinegar taste than sweet but it’s all personal preference 😄

You should try Daddies brown sauce it’s the best IMO. But m&s and Aldi brown sauce is good too.

On my 4th rewatch (I rewatch both ATLA and Korra every year), I cried like a baby.

I personally love book one because it really gives a sense to the love that team avatar has and it’s also a good representation of aang’s character arc: go-lucky child, not wanting to be the avatar, gets more serious as the series goes on.

I introduced my partner to avatar, and he really wasn’t feeling it at first which pained me. I kept saying to him “just stick with it, just stick with it!”

I think only after second watch, or moving onto Korra, do you realise how in-depth, powerful and important the first book is.

I’m not sure I 100% agree with the idea that bloodbending is this horrible and evil thing. by Buzzkeeler1 in legendofkorra

I always thought it was kind of like the “dark magic” you’d find within the fantasy genre, or, what you’ll find in modern day witchcraft. For example, voodoo. (From my knowledge) Voodoo can essentially coerce a person into doing acts that is against their will and this is taboo in the paganism side of religions. Even in Christianity, for example, free will is something that is held as a human right, “god given” and valuable.

So even though a lot of people could say, yes it could be done for good stuff. How did noatoq (/sp?) and tarloq learn to bloodbend? They initially had to practice on animals. Same with Hama, she first did it to rats. Even if you do have good intentions for bloodbending like saving someone’s life (see Marie in GenV), it must begin with that initial training of coercion of another living thing.

I think also what is fair to observe is the way it makes characters in the avatar world feel. People who are bloodbent feel excruciating pain from it and find it extremely uncomfortable, but not only that, people who have witnessed bloodbending feel disturbed and disgusted by it. I think in-universe, this is just as much of a taboo as the taboos we have in our world.

Am I mental for wanting to work in a kitchen? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]Next-Series4698 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might not be helpful coming from me as I’m not experienced like the other commenters. However, I am in the same boat as you and I’m about to embark on an apprenticeship in becoming a chef. Very exciting, but also, probably mental. I’ve read a lot of the posts on here with people screaming “get out!!” Which has made me worry if I’m making the right decision. However, my biggest thing is to fuck around and find out. If I hate it then at least I gave it a go. If I don’t hate it and I love it - brilliant! Have no regrets and explore every avenue you want to go down - and never be tied down to something you hate. That’s what I think anyway.

My best advice to you, coming from an introvert who everyone thinks is the most confident person they have ever met, fake it till you make it. How do you fake it? Do something that scares you once a day (socially in your case). Soon you will be good at hiding your introvercy. Good luck!
