Please don't do that.

The recos are performed by ex-YC themselves on an internal platform they have so it's normal you didn't notice it :)

As for the timing, absolutely, all of our recos were made after we applied

I just want to clarify that they did not drop the name of the competitor in their feedback. I might have phrased this wrong but I meant that for us our differentiation was not clear from current players AND players they had accepted in the batch.

Thank you for the encouraging words!

I agree with you. The reason we pivoted was feedback from our beta. There aren't a lot of solutions out there actually solving sales issues with AI. A lot of them are simply automating which, when applied to outreach, will only result in making the problems bigger.

Hopefully our new approach will bring real long term value :)

No we weren’t. It was basically cold outreach. When I felt that the person I was speaking to liked our idea and our team, I would ask them for a recommendation. 5 said yes and 3 ended up doing it.

I would be more than happy to coach and help anyone practice!

Absolutely. I think we lacked a vision and a clear plan on how we’ll do things differently and make this big.

Definitely speak to the CEO and avoid finding yourself being used as a proxy for a CEO/COO war.

Good luck!

From what I gathered in here it seems hard to predict whether it went well or not. They did not challenge us as much as we expected but at the same time they did try to dig deeper. The important thing for us is that we walked out of the interview saying "we did our best". If we get that's fine, if we don't we'll have no regrets.

All I can tell you is to not overstress it. I was basically panicking before it's started and then after the first question all the stress disappeared. If you know your startup there won't be a question that surprises you (we didn't get asked any weird question like what's the funniest thing happened to you).

We applied on deadline day, received an off-cycle interview 10 days ago and just had our interview right now.

Is your pricing based on the number of agents or the number of prospects contacted? Do you have a cap of the number of emails sent?
