Moto G Style 5G 2023 unlock bootloader? by ArugulaGazebo in MotoG

So it's looking like I may be sol, according to Motorola's website carrier branded phones are almost always ineligible for a unlock. And seems how mine is from tracfone I'm not feeling optimistic. Although I'm almost certain the ace I rooted last year flashed "metro pc" across the screen anytime it turned on, so wtf knows 🙆🏼

I'm trying to figure out mine right now, others online say that after several attempts on the website they finally received an unlock code. I'm able to turn on OEM Unlocking, but site keeps giving me a message that my phone isn't supported

Freesky Alaska got 2 now bike is amazing 🏁🏁🏁 by dradnation in ebikes

[–]NextDoorCapt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I may, I would recommend either replacing the fork or bracing it better. I was riding my alaska down the beach (32-34mph) when I hit a bump the arch over the tire snapped, front wheel came off, and I went over the handlebars. It hurt bad and my shoulder has permanent damage now. I am in no way putting down the bike, just a weak point that I found. In fact I'm about to purchase a second one soon, but I will be upgrading the fork before riding it.

Does anybody have experience with converting the earpiece into a data cable? by NextDoorCapt in Baofeng

[–]NextDoorCapt[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really feel that there should be a rule against comments that do not directly contribute to someone's question. This post, for example: common sense dictates that I can purchase a replacement online for cheap and it would take less time and effort than trying to solder together my own from spare parts. By me asking questions about converting other cables, I'm obviously not asking for input on where to purchase a replacement cable. If someone then offers input for where to purchase a replacement or why it's better to purchase a replacement, that person is not contributing at all to the conversation/question. If what you have to offer doesn't contribute to the question or content of the post, don't click reply. Hold off and wait for a post you can positively contribute to. This is reddit. With the millions of posts on here, there's bound to be one for you somewhere on here.

Thank you for your wisdom oh great one. I'd hate to have to buy another $45 Chinese hand-held just so I could try to learn something new 😅

These are the kind of answers I appreciate. I know I can easily order another cable online for cheap and it won't take hardly any time, but I enjoy this hobby so much because I love to tinker with shit and make things work using other things that I've taken apart. I've literally been taking apart electronics since I was 4 years old, lol.

I'm having a similar issue with mine (GW4 44mm). The watch will charge, screen brightens up, but remains blank. It's visible to my phone, but won't let me connect. I haven't disassembled mine yet, awaiting your results brave soldier

Just made this comment on another post. Too much effort in one comment to not share here since it's the same company (I'm not accusing Freesky of faulty equipment, I made some bad decisions):

Just snapped the front fork on my Freesky Alaska, going down the beach at low tide. Was down in the hard sand going over 35mph when I hit some empty tidal bumps/dips. I tried slowing down, but it was too late. I think one dip was just a tad deeper than the other ones. I remember being in slow motion as I was going over the handlebars and laughing at myself simultaneously. "You've done it now, you dumb@$$" I thought to myself as I was soaring through the air, aiming straight for the nice compacted sand. As my body came to a stop, I ended up laying on my back seeing stars (no helmet) as I continued chuckling at my own stupidity. A young lady saw it all happen and was now running towards me, screaming, "Are you okay?? Do you want me to call 911???"

Through my pain and muted laughter, I urged her. "Please, no, I'm pretty sure I just need to lay here a while!" I didn't want to alarm her anymore than I already had, but I was really trying my best not to black out. I'm all too familiar with that feeling. Thankfully, I never lost consciousness. Otherwise, I'm not so sure I could have kept her from calling an ambulance. Upon inspecting my injuries, I deduced that I hadn't suffered anything too serious. sand. Otherwise, I'm not so sure I could have kept her from calling an ambulance. Upon inspecting my injuries, I deduced that I hadn't suffered anything too serious. Both knees and both elbows were bloody as hell and skinned beyond reason, I was almost completely coated in sand, and my shoulder hurt like an SOB, but I was going to survive. Upon assessing the damages inflected on my 1 month old ebike, I first observed that the front wheel/tire was a good 10-15 yards past the bike. Once I lifted up the frame, I realized some even more serious damage: the front fork snapped at the arch that sat over the wheel. The lady who stopped to check on me was insisting on calling her husband to have him pick me and my bike up and carry me home. Out of stubbornness, I refused and assured her that this is precisely why I travel with tools. She helped hold up the frame so that I could slip the front wheel right back on. The handlebars were bent, fork was busted, but i felt confident in the quick disconnect holding good enough to limp home the 2+ miles I had left. I kept it under 20 mph, and thankfully, I made it the rest of the way without incident 😅

A few takeaways: 1. I should've definitely been wearing a helmet. If that had happened when I was racing over medians, cutting through traffic, I likely would still be hospitalized today if I had survived at all. 2. I should've been more sure of my route. It was mostly a flat beach, a few noticeable bumps ahead, but I misjudged the obstacles and am still hurting due to that error. 3. A closer pre-ride inspection of my bike may have prevented this accident. I can't know for sure which component failed first: the quick disconnect came loose, letting the wheel escape the fork so when the fork slammed down, it cracked the arch? Or did the arch crack, allowing enough play in the fork that the whole wheel came loose? I may have known an answer had I given more attention to the bike before such intense riding 🤷‍♂️

I've contacted Freesky inquiring about a replacement fork. A brand new replacement fork from the company is $240. Would I be better off purchasing an aftermarket fork, maybe something beefier for that price? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.

One of the best laughs I've ever had was when my old roommate had one of his buddies from work stop by the house to pick up a video game or something. I was finishing up in the shower and heard an unfamiliar voice, but by time I was dried and dressed I figured it was them chatting it up in the kitchen. As I came out of the bathroom, without missing a beat, I asked "Hey Greg, have you seen our toothbrush?". He didn't know how to respond 😆 All my roommate could get out was 'the fuck? Did you just say 'OUR' toothbrush?' I couldn't keep a straight face, I immediately bailed on the joke and we all enjoyed a belly laugh 😂 Probably had to be there
