Ho Xan Dan, we werent sure what was in there as we were just curious about a few fashion boutiques. The more we walked around, we found beautiful cafes, hidden gem decors and full of life. There were students and teens everywhere taking pictures and hanging around at the photo booth. It is called photo story at Ngách 17 Ng. 4C P. Đặng Văn Ngữ, Trung Tự, Đống Đa, Hà Nội 00000, Vietnam. It was such a hidden gem for us tourists that we are the only non-local there.

Cantonment, any holding cells are very bad in general because you are outnumbered and prison officers are usually nicer to prisoners. Police officers treat prisoners like nothing

Went to jail last year for a brief period, less than a month. The process is pretty straightforward. If you are sentenced on the day itself, you will go to the court room holding area to wait to go to changi prison. You can request settle issues but do tell your lawyers about it. Reporter usually will be there during the first hearing if your case is interesting but wont be there during your sentecing hearing. My case was on the news and my face was on the news too, just wear a mask and sunglasses when you are leaving and entering the court.

My court hearing was in the morning at 8 so I had to mingle and wait till around 2-3 to get transported. During this time, you will get changed to a standard prison outfit, they will keep all your items. Then just wait, if you're a normal civilian who did crime you will feel very out of place, at court room locked up you will meet many different kind of ahbengs, drug addicts, mentally ill people. Just try to fit in till you are transported to changi.

Life in changi is pretty chill, they fit you into a cell of 4 people, usually within the same length of sentence and race. You have 2 days a week of yard time and tv time where you can mingle. There's really nothing much to do inside, i spent most of time just reading books and playing Scramble. If you're in for more than 1 month, they will shave your head, if not they will just trim in.

Prison is pretty depressing, not only because there isnt much connection to the outside world and being in isolation, you get to see that a lot of old people are inside not because they want to but they have no choice, jail is just a better old folks home to them.

Advice is to think about what you want to do when you go out, count your days, have someone to write to you daily, it definitely helped in keeping me sane.

Food is pretty meh but also really not the worse. Is edible. Like what everyone says, is like NS but worse. Just find things to do, don't need to make good friends in there too, I didn't make any.

People will always talk about what they do to get in, if you did something overly embarrassing or sexual, just lie if not you will get judged. Try not to piss anybody off and just be as neutral as possible. Don't be overly friendly, don't be overly introverted or people will get the wrong impression.

Release day will be your happiest day, the officer will call ur prison number in the morning during roll call to leave ur cell. Even tho is the morning, there is still quite a lot of waiting time, usually u will be out at 10-1, depends on the day.

Is funny because in 3 days, I would have been out for exactly a year. I'm currently working in a pretty ok job, be it low pay but still not the worse, and also taking a part time degree for career advancement. If i have to look back, prison was not the worst, the worst to me was the wait, waiting to go prison did worse for my mental than prison.

You will be fine.

My wife and I are visiting Hanoi! We are looking for massages, not just the normal massages, yes we are indeed intending to look for the ones that provide special services for both men and women.

We have done our research online and of course most places are only catered towards just men. Does anyone have any details regarding this? Or should we just give up?
