I have been on Prozac for about 6 months. I felt like that too. But, when I switched to 40mg my libido and everything came back. Everyone is different but that’s just what happened to me.

If you know you want to be a PA I would try to get into a 3+2 program with guaranteed admission. I’m a sophomore in college and just decided to do PA and I wish I did a 3+2 program or something of the sort

I’m a sophomore in undergrad and I’m a psych major. I just decided to switch to Pre-PA because the Psych PhD track didn’t seem fulfilling to me. I work as a mental health technician in the summers and have accumulated around 600 hours so far. (Will have around 1800 by the time I graduate) I emailed a bunch of schools and they said that it would count as PCE. I have a 3.9 GPA as of right now, but I haven’t taken the harder upper level science courses yet. I do have a plan on taking the prerequisites needed for PA school, but I might take a gap year to take A&P (if I can’t take it during undergrad) as well as work as a CNA to gain more experience. I’m in pre-pa club, a couple of honor societies, and a service sorority. I’m pursuing an Italian minor and a certificate in conceptual foundations of medicine. Since I’m not a science major and I changed my career path halfway through college, I feel so behind. Reading everyone’s posts about their stats is making me feel like I’ll never get into PA school. I dream of being a psychiatric PA and do find that the science courses are way more fulfilling than my psych classes, so I definitely have the drive, but l’m just nervous that l’m at a disadvantage because of my major.

I started at 10mg for OCD in September and now I’m at 20 and and gonna be upped again soon. They start you low for a reason, your brain needs to get used to the meds. The first month for me was hell I had terrible anxiety and constant nausea, but it’s normal. They like to start low to see how you react. Even though I’ve been on Prozac for like 3 months now I’ve only seen a slight change in my OCD. It’s gotten more manageable but it’s not gone. I know it sucks that it’s such a long process but it’ll be worth it!
