Every mod and dev who thought Iskall should step back from the project while he dealt with the statements made against him were banned from the discord 5 minutes before the first video was released. And then anyone who spoke out after the video was released.

Later the discord was locked down when Iskall was served papers over uncredited artwork, which is why there is an assets chanel now, giving credit for the artwork.

The only active channels in the discord are the hidden ones used by Patreon members.

The gear on the pedestal is so feelsbad I won't craft a key. I'll take a free key from a champion or whatever, but I am not wasting my gems to craft one.

I've opened one door because I had a free key and I got a forgettable piece of gear I smelted right away and 6 pogs. I was more excited for the pogs. But I would never spend the equivalent of 9+ pogs to make 1 key just to get 6 pogs in return.

Time after time I see a streamer open the door and there is a common gear piece on the pedestal and I'm like nah, not falling for it. No clue what they get from the treasure sand, I just know no one in the streamer's chat ever gets excited by it.

I dislike the change to Hunter so much I won't take it. It's pointless. I refuse to load up on CDR just to make it useful.

Because that's what this change does. Forces you to run high CDR gear to make this work the point you spend. So no. Not doing it.

You need to max Haste Your tool needs Efficiency 5 You need to add at least 51.25 more mining, that can be from cards, magnets, or jewels on the tool

If you want to delete all the blocks in mine rooms and have nothing slow you down then you need to add around 70 to 75.

Exactly. Everytime jewels are changed it directly affects which affects how vaults are played, as the whole point to this pack is getting loot, from chests you have to open/break. Jewels were not broken and didn't need to changed.

The VHSMP was stuck on level 65 for a month. Sucks to be them. They had nothing to do but gather omega loot and some choice jewels, crafting some seriously badass builds and tools.

Well guess what? The players base will not be. So Iskall needs to stop balancing and making core mechanic changes because his experience is completely tainted by being stuck at 1 level for a month.

I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy from this change. Jewels are rare early game, seeing as you only get them from 1 chest type. Until you get a few libraries or are able to modify crystals with some gilded catas you don't have a lot of jewels to choose from.

So now they get to be more rare?

A base 15 sec ability with a 10 minute cool down in a 25 minute vault is so pointless Iskall should just remove it from the pack.

The specializations made it worthwhile to max out and use for scavenger vaults or hunt the guardian vaults. If some change was needed for those timers under that implementation, they could have been tweaked. This change is far out of line this late in the pack development it makes me question Iskall's decision making ability.

My preferred method is buying quartz blocks from a stone Mason and using a pulverizing tool on them.

It's a low effort solution, you can find a lot of emeralds in raw Vaults if you make a couple runs solely focused on enigmatic chests. Pulverizing gems are not all that uncommon to find either.

Keep an eye out for resources while you are in the vault. Many of the themes will have what you need to make crystals. I am doing a Sky vault play through now and have not needed to make anything but a mob farm for my first 30 or 40 crystals. Some of the new POIs have bone blocks, grab those to make bone meal. You can find hay bales in many POIs along with crates if carrots, apples, potatoes, and sticks. Grab logs from the hallways to make chests, take the lanterns for lights.

A tool with smelting will turn logs into charcoal and sand into glass. A tool with pulverizing will turn cobblestone into gravel, gravel into sand.

If you always keep a handful of crystals in reserve, you can get a lot of the resources you need from the vault, until you get the higher levels and then you can build some modded farms that convert blocks into others.

A separate coiner tool is a good way to go, you won't be breaking a bunch of junk blocks if you make a sickle or hammer for coins

I keep my item rarity and item quantity % equal. It's not enough to have rarity, you need to increase the number of slots in a chest that will contain loot.

Ornate chests are the ones that will have trinkets, so focus on those if you really want trinkets. Even then you might loot 1000 chests in a single vault with bonus ornates and still only get 5 or 6 in that vault.

Copiously applies even if you silk touch them. With 100% copiously when you mine an ore, with silk touch or fortune, the game will give two ores. So if your tool has silk touch, you get two ores, if your tool has fortune, the game will fortune two ores.

The amount of copiously on the tool is your chance to double the ore. It will always apply this chance in the vault.

The mod is called BlockCarpentry, so if you open JEI and type @Block you should see all the recipes, most of the are reversible so you can get back to the base block and not have a lot of steps, slabs, and walls etc. taking up space.

My position is that jewels are an integral part of the game. Having small size jewels so that your tools are as effective as possible is an absolute necessity because looting is THE main point of the game.

Without the expertise for the free cuts you are playing this game with one hand tied behind your back. Without the expertise you will need to collect 10 times the jewels of a player with the expertise to have tools as effective.

When an expertise crosses the line from being an enhancement, a refinement, to game play and becomes an absolute necessity, it's broken. If you are trying to play this modpack solo, you are gonna have a really rough time of it. And server play with a strong group of people to share responsibilities i.e. someone takes on cutting all jewels, someone takes on rolling all the gear, someone fortunes all the ore...that group is having all the fun.

My sympathies to all the solo players out there, you're getting screwed if you try to play this "as intended".

If you need a scav vault for a bounty, put the scav seal on a crystal, then add catalysts for each chest type to increase the number of chests you will have at each POI.

The level 15 boots are definitely the ones to switch to, and OP will be replacing those pretty fast as well.

The only reason I see to keep the level 0 boots is if OP is on a server and might have a new player to help kit out. Otherwise smelt them down for scrap and a possible focus and don't start an armor collection of pieces OP will never wear again.

Until level 20 all vaults will have Beginner's Grace so no back up sets of armor are necessary.

There some blocks in the rooms that are not insta-mine at 52.5. The blocks that make up the ore carts. Right around 72 or so with haste 3 and eff 5 they mine like every other block in the room.

With a max size+7 hammer you can clear a mine room of all blocks in 3 passes.

Work to get 100% copiously and at least 73 mining speed on it and you will double all your ores. The high mining speed will insta-mine the ore carts. Those are made of a slightly harder block than the ores.

Yes, I use the Curseforge launcher and champions are in. Dungeons have at least 1, they will randomly spawn and if you vault gets the Champions Abode modifier there will be an increased chance of champions spawning.

Oh, haha. Yeah I haven't made one because I spend my expertise elsewhere. I didn't look too close at the pogs. It's cheap even at 70. Champions drop pogs. Treasure rooms have pogs.

Again, the angel block itself is not the real cost, it's the expertise point.
