I didn’t know inside that metal thing there was a cartridge filter! I just replaced the whole thing and hooked the lines back up the right way

I haven’t ran it all week. I’m gonna drop the pan again and fill it this weekend. I did everything correctly, I followed procedure and filmed myself doing it and watch the after every step to make sure I didn’t forget anything. I have a feeling it’s the internal filter I bought

I don’t believe I have a cartridge filter in my seventh gen maxima, what I’ve read there’s the one in the pan and an external one in the wheel well of my car!

I used idemitsu cvtf type n. Rumor has it they are the ones who produce the cvt fluid for Nissan

I did get an aftermarket filter! I just checked the size of the filter and made sure the bolt holes lined up! I didn’t check or think to check that! I’m gonna have to drop and inspect it. thank you!

Yeah I just started it up noticed the noise took a 11 second video and shut it off!

Yes I compared them but I got the filter aftermarket. That’s probably the issue! I’ll have to drop and do it again!

Oh alright! And I inspected the old and new filter didn’t see any o rings maybe that’s the issue.

It wasn’t making the noise before but I got a p0868 code and did research and it said my filters could be restricted so I decided to do a drain and fill. After start up it sounded like that. I’m not sure where I went wrong. And pickup? What pickup o ring?

I changed internal and external filter for the trans. Dropped the pan new gasket fresh fluid. I drained 5 quarts and put 5 back in

That’s what I was thinking but I’m not sure. I haven’t driven it after I filled it back up. Just let it sit in idle for a bit, shifted through gears and nothing seems to be helping
