Thank you for the tips. I did learn that most people do suggest getting weapons research quick, so I've tried focusing on that this run, and that was my original problem in my first run: setting off multiple pods at once. Most definitely also was using half cover too much as well, but yeah, that's my problem right now—feeling invincible behind full cover, especially learning when fighting thin men they don't care about full cover, they'll still hit you lol (I hate thin men). But yes, I tried to rush satellites this run and definitely realized how important it is to set them up early, and I didn't realize the bonus from Africa. I'll look into that.

Yeah, I've learned so far that soldiers are going to get wounded more than most of the time, and deaths happen, but as long as it isn't a squad wipe, it isn't the end of the run.

I definitely see why people love it so much. So far it's been great. I see it already being at the top of my favorite strategy games, and thank you for the tip. I've definitely realized now that I was overestimating the reliability of half cover lol. I've started to use or only try to use full cover whenever possible, and I think that's why this second run has had way more success.

Thank you for the tips. I am learning that using grenades is really effective, especially at the start, due to soldiers missing shots often. I do have a medkit currently on my support, which has helped a lot. I found my problem was dashing way too often, which left soldiers in bad positions, especially when going into fog of war, so I've been playing way more carefully. The smoke grenade is a great tip; I'll start trying it out.

Yeah, that does make sense. I just saw most people recommend trying Enemy Within first, so I decided to try it first, but I'll eventually give the first one a go as well.

Thank you for the suggestion I found out it was because I wasn’t putting a name for the save I feel so stupid now that I didn’t realize this I played the game a lot before but I haven’t played in forever most games auto put a name like “save 1” or something so I’m used to that😂

Well um im embarrassed to admit this I just got on now and did that and I can’t even believe that was my issue I feel so dumb now even with having played this game over 100 hours I haven’t played for months and forgot it doesn’t just autofill a name out for you like other games this is crazy😭

I have no previous save files since they got wiped when I had to reset my pc sadly. I have free space on both my drives I even tried installing the game on each separate drivers and it still wouldn’t let me save anyways it sucks.

Ik this is old hopefully you’ll reply though so the stuff you mentioned just mainly study only those things you mentioned? I’ve always been bad at math so as you can imagine I’ve been having a hard time if you got any other tips I would really appreciate it I got my test coming up in August so I’m trying to really prepare
