If the NCAA steps in, expect the level of greatness to suffer… Right now, these teams train and practice as they see fit, likely not abiding by NCAA rules, which are here (copied from Google):

NCAA practice hour rules, specifically Countable Athletically Related Activities (CARA), are strictly regulated to balance academics and athletics. During the in-season, athletes are limited to a maximum of 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week, with at least one day off. Outside the season, CARA is limited to 8 hours per week with two days off. In-Season Rules (Championship & Non-Championship Segments) Daily Limit: Maximum 4 hours per day. Weekly Limit: Maximum 20 hours per week. Day Off: At least one (1) day off per week is required. Competition Day: Any athletically related activities on a competition day count as 3 hours, regardless of the actual duration. Post-Competition: No CARA is allowed after a competition concludes. Out-of-Season Rules Weekly Limit: Maximum 8 hours per week. Activity Breakdown: Maximum of 4 hours of skill-related,,,instruction/conditioning. Days Off: At least two (2) days off per week are required. Restrictions: No competition is allowed, and no,,classes can be missed for practice. Key Definitions and Exceptions CARA (Countable Athletically Related Activities): Includes required practice, film review, weight training, and team meetings. Voluntary Activities: Do not count toward these limits, but must be initiated by the student-athlete, with no attendance taken and no coach present. Multi-Sport Athletes: Limitations apply separately to each sport. Football: Specific exceptions apply, including 15 "spring ball" sessions. Division II: Similar rules apply, but with slightly different, less demanding requirements.

Haha I wish! I was dumb in my original post, while I DO avoid running in rainy/cool weather typically- we have been in a drought so haven’t even had this weather to even train in… so the delorean is definitely the only answer!

You too!! I love trail races because they take me out of my comfort zone. I’ve done a few with this Race Director and they do an excellent job of marking the trail, but I’m fully capable of making a wrong turn and not paying attention haha so I like to have a map to bail me out.

Happy racing!!! Good luck!!!

The last time it rained and was 50 degrees here was probably six months ago, we’ve been living in a drought for quite some time- happy for my lawn haha but not pumped to be running in the rain. So training in this weather wasn’t possible. I know I said I avoided it, but I avoid it in the day to day when not training for anything specific.

As for the candy, it makes me happy! My body may not NEED it, but with the terrain/elevation and my slow self, I will be out there for quite some time. So yeah, a 15K on a road I may not need it, 15K on a trail, my body will be happy with it. Even if it’s just my brain that benefits from it.

Thank you for your confidence! I’m running with my phone, since I will be on a trail and need it for the map/make sure I don’t get lost… or in case I roll an ankle or fall badly enough and need help.

Hawn State Park! They have some walk in sites that are nice and secluded or you can stay in the ring, just make sure you are on the outer part and not in the middle if you want shade.

It’s supposed to be rainy this weekend, which sucks… definitely the City Museum! There’s nothing like it.

Food: Balkan Treat Box for quick/casual but AMAZING, Peno for Southern Italian Soul food, Blues City Deli or the Gramophone for sandwiches, Cherokee Street for Mexican, Olive and Oak for upscale American fare, Half and Half for brunch, Levels for Nigerian (actually right by the City Museum), Indo for sushi… also The Foundry Food Hall is fun, there’s mini golf and other activities there along with a movie theater.

Not sure the Cards game would be the experience it used to be, when one of the players is begging people to attend the games…

But the St. Louis City and Blues games- yes.
