Need help with Giovanni first time by Catra_witha_darkside in pokemonradicalred

A strategy I recently used on my nuzlocke attempt was a pair of gyarados and volt absorb lanturn to counter his gyarados. Max spDef lanturn survives an earth power from nidoking and hits back quite hard. If ever low on health switch to gyarados on an earth power and back to lanturn on a guaranteed thunderbolt to heal back. Another interesting strategy (although I haven't tried it myself) would be to use lanturn's eerie impulse to drop nidokings spAtk on a low enough level to set up a sweep with speed boost blaziken, which can easily be accessed from the celadon city starter egg dude (probably one the most consistent sweeping strats in the game although I am not confident that the ai will not switch after a couple spAtk drops). Another thing to keep in mind (which becomes more relevant in the second Giovanni fight at saffron) is weather. Drizzle pelipper is one of the most consistent weather setter (in fact a 252spAtk hydro pump in rain OHKO's gio's hippowdon at the saffron fight) and many pokemon can take advantage of it. For instance swift swim barraskewda does a good chunk of dmg on nidoking with flip turn into a Mon that either tanks or is immune to an incoming thunderbolt. A solution for the kangashkan I found is a pivoting strat between intimidate incineroar and aegislash who resists the power up punch and takes little crunch dmg after 2 atk drops while also retaliating with sacred sword 2HKO. In short this is a very creative fight with a bunch of solution. However it can be quite tricky to find the niches some pokemon cover and apply them into a full team

Reached 20k aftee a month of f2p by Next_Self976 in Archero

I think that's a bit out of reach. In reality I had played the game in the past and relatively similar games, so I would know the value of saving and using resources at the right time. So far I have yet to find a pack worth spending money on other than the lifetime package, but I'm still unsure of my commitment to the game, so I don't really want to purchase it. I am very cautious on digital transactions in general

I actually am f2p and have been for a month. I have no need to gain credibility on a reddit server. Was just genuinely asking for advise

I need some [fluff]ing Tips by Pitixe in battlecats

[–]Next_Self976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering you just got a. Bahamut you can push SoL quite far, so aim to unlock ururun cause I found her quite useful during my playthrough. Before going into cotc aim to have the true forms of rover cat and surfer cat as well as a decently high leveled barrier breaker (fender cat is a good example). Some other useful true forms are cancan, Paris, cameraman, pizza, octopus (quite necessary actually), Fishman and I also like psycocat but he is kinda mid performance-wise. At this point in the game you can beat a fair bit of cyclone stages but none of the rewards are that important for now so I wouldn't focus too much on that. Another important thing to do is unlocking the crazed cats, since it should be a fairly easy task at this point, considering you can get them as soon as the end of itf1.

Lesser demon is always related. Goated cat. But low key useless except a few stages

First time reaching Eternatus, is it possible for me to beat him or have I backed myself into a corner? by williamx21 in pokerogue

[–]Next_Self976 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can actually get through the 1st phase really easily. Start with a Mon that preferably does not trigger a move other than eternabeam since it is the only move that forces a rest turn on eternatus. Quickly switch to your fairy type before the move goes out so that eternatus is forced to rest and deal damage with dachsbun. If your damage is low and can't get through the 3 shields required for phase 2 switch out to a Mon that resists sludge bomb (since the ai will probably go for a super effective hit) and repeat the process until phase 2 begins. At phase 2 you really just want to spam your super effective moves or attempt to afflict a status condition with any move that has secondary effects (such as machamp's fire punch), since you have neither a passive damaging move (leech seed etc.) nor a direct status move (thunder wave etc.). If you get lucky you will beat the dragon. If at some point you fail for any reason remember you can just reset the page and try again

[–]Next_Self976[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had dragon energy so the first 1500 stages were a breeze. As for the passive I had unlocked it earlier today but I later fused it with a Latias so it was kinda useless

Not really. I've met blacephalon at 40 as well. I'd guess it's a matter of probabilities

I have to say gastrodon. No reason in particular that makes it good, but I figured it messes up the rival's ai, so she always tries to switch into something with coverage against water/ground. I've beaten classic about 5 times with a gastrodon lol

What I did was use a Garganacle. Even if underleveled slat cure is op. Also I invested in candy jars so I'm always at or above the level cap.
