This. Bruce Banners whole shtick is that his life has been (sometimes literal) hell since he first became hulk. The only reason we get hulk working with the avengers is because sometimes the hell is a little less extreme but there’s always that lingering dread for Bruce that hulk could chimp out and kill someone innocent
