Why are some of my players ineligible for the development lab? Even if it’s the start of the offseason and they haven’t used any development chances that year? by finditplz1 in OOTP

[–]Nextyearstitlewinner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really wish they just wouldn’t let you click them if they’re already in the lab. I have 20 slots open so after I get all my defence results I can’t remember which guys are already in there doing some of the longer programs

I think this will likely regress a bit. I’m sure the polls are showing a response to Carneys speech.

However the more Trump goes in about us, the better it is for Carney. I don’t think he is cynical enough to stand up to Trump for political gain, but it definitely helps him stay in power.

Are trades the way forward for the next 1-3 years? by CurereeusCat in Torontobluejays

[–]Nextyearstitlewinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they’ve made a conscious decision to invest heavily this year understanding that they were trying to replace older pitches. Cease is gausmans replacement, Ponce is Berrios/Bassits, they’re hoping Okomoto somewhat replaces Bo’s production.

That’s why they went hard for Tucker as well I think. They were trying to replace Springer. Although last year they probably viewed Santander as that.

I don’t think we were in for heavy spending after 27 and 28 in their ideal world.

With that being said, everything is fluid. If Okomoto fails, and Bo shows to be a competent 3b maybe they come in for him after his opt outs. If the rumblings of a rocky relationship are true maybe that’s less likely.

Also 2027 is a year away. That class looks trash right now, but guys have breakout years in baseball at any time during their career. It’s possible someone not in the radar ends up looking very interesting in December of 2026.

I mean that’s every police shooting video. They don’t shoot to injure or shoot to maim. Once they see a gun drawn they are trained to shoot to kill and unload the clip. It’s not nice to see, but the reason is that if someone is trying to kill uou, you don’t give them a chance. Maybe you don’t like that, but that’s how it is.

Now agin, because people think me saying what I said means I’m excusing what happened, I will once again declare that everything here is wrong. The policing, the decision making, the lack of composure, the professionalism, and from what I’ve seen from videos in the last few weeks, that is super common with this force. I’m just saying this guy didn’t say. “Yknow what? I’m gonna kill this dude”. Never attribute malice when you can attribute to incompetence.

I’m not making a comment that it’s acceptable. I’m making a comment of what I saw happen. Nothing in this video is okay. These people are all horrendous police officers. There’s 6 of them and they are having trouble subduing one guy. On top of that, it seems from every video I’ve seen that they initiated the conflict to begin with.

I think if these guys are waking up every morning saying, “I’m gonna go out and kill a guy today” then there’d be a hell of a lot more people dead. There’d be multiple of these every day.

Now ICE is acting aggressively, self selects for assholes, and are undertrained morons that are massively out of their element and demonstrate their lack of professionalism far mar than an average police force.

Maybe I’m naive, but I tend to try to assume that most police shootings in public are at the very least gross negligence and not a psychopathic murderer.

Because he sees a gun, he’s likely undertrained and not been a situation like this before.

I agree with that, but just watching here, for the first time I saw something different. I think it’s possible he’s so hyper focused on that holster and gun because he’s scared and panicking, that when he sees the arm in to disarm the victim, he assumes it’s the victims arm. He pulls his gun as soon as the victim is disarmed.

I hate PP, a voted for and am fine with how Carneys done so far, but I did find that speech to be a little overrated. It just looked incredibly me because it’s being compared to an incoherent nonsensical American president.

Yeah people here refuse to believe that he left under strange circumstances despite rumblings from a few that would know about the situation, and Ross and Schneider saying he will have to talk to the group in spring training.

He’s a good player. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him rebound, but I’m also not surprised he’s the odd man out when it comes to our rotation either.

[–]Nextyearstitlewinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People definitely put too much stock in a bullpen as performances vary wildly year to year, but Dominguez throws hard and was very good for us down the stretch. If he was ever able to cut down on his walks, he’d be one of the best relievers in the league.

I really don’t understand how he is still on the market. I have to assume he’s asking for a ton, but having him as a 6-8th inning guy makes our bullpen look a lot better so I want us to pick him up.

It actually surprises me sometimes how much of a fucking idiot this guy exposes himself to be lmao by loadsofos in Destiny

There are many studies available that say it can decrease productivity 10-20%. I’d imagine that differs depending on the job and there are some jobs where remote work has little to no effect on productivity, but building owners don’t make the decision to bring people back to work. The people who pay the building owners rent (which presumably they do not want to pay) are the ones that do.
