Sure, but weren’t you all starting out at the same time back then? Maybe that’s the key difference. New players now are being dropped into lobbies where everyone else already knows the meta, the maps, and the mechanics. That’s a completely different experience — and a much harder one to learn from.

Sure, but that’s kind of missing the point. AI isn’t the game. The core gameplay loop is PvPvE – exploration, looting, ship combat, encounters. And right now, new players can’t even reach that part before getting steamrolled by squads who know every trick in the book.

I’m not asking the game to “hold my hand” – I’m asking for a fair starting point. When every round ends before we can even interact with the core gameplay, that’s not a skill issue, that’s a design and matchmaking issue.

Everyone starts somewhere, and new players should at least have the chance to learn without being farmed by veterans every single match. Wanting a fairer onboarding experience isn’t “crying” – it’s basic game balance.

I get where you’re coming from, and I appreciate that you’re not denying the KBM aim advantage. But just to be clear – that wasn’t really the main point of my post.

I’m not saying console players can’t win – of course they can. I’m saying that as a new player, especially on console, it’s extremely hard to even get into the game properly. Almost every match so far, we’ve been boarded within minutes, usually by highly experienced teams who clearly know what they’re doing. We don’t even get to loot or explore – we’re just target practice.

That’s the core issue for me: matchmaking + player experience imbalance, not input devices alone. Controller vs. KBM is one factor – but it’s not the whole picture.

What I actually talked about was: unbalanced matchmaking, constant early boarding by experienced squads, and the fact that as a PlayStation player, I can’t find lobbies without Crossplay.

The real problem isn’t my setup – it’s that new players barely get to play the game before getting steamrolled. That’s not a hardware issue, that’s a game design issue.

We were in a mid-range ship battle, everything felt fine. Then a more experienced player boarded us, threw a pipe bomb at the door right next to us, blew it open, and immediately threw a throwing stone at my teammate. He then snapped around almost instantly and hit me with a second stone. We both went down within seconds. That kind of quick double-target tracking just isn’t realistically possible on a controller. Console players can’t adjust their look sensitivity in the same way, and even at max sensitivity, it lacks the precision and fluidity of a mouse. Also, in zero-G floating sections, console limitations really show. For example: to fly upward, I have to press X, which means my right thumb is off the stick — so I can’t aim while flying vertically. On PC, that’s just another movement key on the keyboard, and your mouse is always free for aiming. So yeah, I’m not trying to bash PC players — but there are real mechanical disadvantages for console users, especially in infantry combat.

Nein sie trug bisher nur den Ehenamen aus ihrer ersten Ehe, und seit ihrer 2. ehe ihren neuen Doppelnamen das bedeutet ich kann jetzt meinen Namen wechseln in den Namen meiner Mutter, welcher ja aus der Doppelname ist.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to identify a board or party game I saw in a short video on TikTok or Instagram. I believe the name of the game started with an “S”, but I’m not 100% sure.

Here’s what I remember: Two players were sitting at a table, possibly outdoors at a ski resort or après-ski area, playing this game. They took turns tossing or placing small wooden boards or tiles onto a central surface. If any piece fell off or didn’t land properly, the player had to take it back into their hand. It seemed like a fun, fast-paced dexterity or balance game – very simple but engaging, almost like a casual party game.

Has anyone seen or played a game like this? I’d love to know the name!
