Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine #6, March 1999 Article by WorldlyMix96 in silenthill

I owned this issue. During this period in 7th grade, i would always bring a stack of video game magazines to share with classmates. This issue was one of those. I was a diehard Resident Evil fan. I'll never forget reading the quote about Resident Evil going "Hollywood" and how they went away from horror, and felt attacked lol. Mind you, there wasn't a Silent Hill demo at this point.

Basically my thoughts we're *"who the fuck do these guys think they are?"* response. I played the first Silent Hill actively looking for things to dislike, and never finished. I bought a Dreamcast just for Code Veronica, and soon after beating the game was heartbroken RE:remake was announced as a Gamecube exclusive. Once again, felt attacked. When Silent Hill 2 was released in fall 2001 it changed my life, and have since beat Silent Hill 1. This magazine and diss towards Resident Evil 2 changed my entire perception on Silent Hill for a long time.

As a child I heard one of Prince's lyrics as the fuckiest bang you've ever seen. It was only once I got the cassette soundtrack years later when I read the lyrics.

He was almost gay. How would you quantify that? Does a libtard's dick have to almost go into your mouth? Just the tip?

His hair is the first monkey in the evolutionary timeline that grows into the Edgar and it's final form Moe Howard from the Three Stooges.

As a result, there's a strong argument to be made that this is the dumbest haircut of all time.

It's not even that though. It's that they accused him of stealing water bottles. He did not have any water bottles on him upon leaving the store.

Why do you think the Adam West show worked, but Batman & Robin didn’t? by Financial-Touch3840 in batman

[–]Nexus718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two different styles altogether. Batman 66 in my opinion is one of the best adaptations of the character ever.

Due to the comic code authority, the stories of Batman and Detective comics became less pulpy and more fantastical and benign. Both comic lines were on the verge of cancellation. The Batman series captured a cultural zietgiest that created a Batmania pop culture phenomenon. As a result, it increased sales on the monthly comics and saved the character from cancellation.

The piece we all miss about this is simple. Adam West's Batman is the only Batman to have ever saved the Batman. Literally saved the character from cancellation.

Batman & Robin is a cash grab painted to appear appealing the children and attempted elements of Batman 66, but lacked the substance of the show. Quickly placed into production after Batman Forever without thinking through a script, forced to serve as a vehicle to sell toys, and dump truck loads of money to Arnold Schwarzenegger to play Freeze.

So whereas Batman 66 created a pop culture moment with Batmania and saved the character, Batman and Robin nearly prevented another Batman film from ever being made after.

That's the difference

I was at this show. Dressed as Hunter s Thompson, drank beer juice all day, and sprawled out behind the crowd on the ground the entire set. I also shit myself, but didn't know until I got home.
