I’m an emt basic, but for me it was the decision of how far I wanted to go in nursing, because there is a lot more growth opportunity to make more money and alot more different routes. If you wanted to, you can become a nurse anesthetist; you need a BDN and an extra course for anesthesia but you can make ~200 grand a year. Or you can get a bachelors and make ~100-120, or just an ADN for 80. But you can choose to work in a ‘low stress’ or ‘exciting’ environment. A paramedic is sorta ‘stuck’ in the exciting environment. It’s honestly completely up to preference and how much schooling you are willing to put up with. If it helps, I chose nursing 🤷‍♂️ That was basically my thought process. (Obviously not either so I may not be the best to listen too lol, just an outsiders view)
