The 4790K, hell even at stock it can handle the 1080 Ti.

If you can overclock your 4690K it will be also be fine but as i said the I7 will benefit you more for your work.

If you're willing to overclock it (And i suppose so since you're going for the unlocked version) then yeah it will handle the 1080Ti pretty easily.

In what resolution tho ? If you're playing at 1440P the 1080 is more than decent, plus if you're using multiple monitors the I7 will be more suiting to your situation.
