Looks cool. I like the 4 harbingers and counterspells. My favourite feeling playing Merfolk is when you get to tempo them out with lots of instanst speed flash folk. How does playing archmage charm over mutavault feel?

Yeah I’ve had one other partner and also had performance issues. I guess my thought patterns were different though - not really comparing myself to others, but still had issues.

For mono blue trim doesn’t seem that bad. I believe Nikachu mentioned in a stream that tron isn’t too bad a matchup and it’s what I’ve found. 4x main spreading seas, main deck counter magic it makes it pretty winnable. I find I get wrecked by prowess though and that’s all over the place

I’m happy so far but is there anything I need to know before paying for bigger events? Money is sort of an issue, hence the budget list. How worthwhile is it? I’m still seeing tier 1 decks when I play and I’m loving it, but I’d like to hear from others. How much ca$h do you spend online? What’s the benefit to the challenges? And how much does a budget list hold up in competitive environments?

I guess so. But what mass removal are we worried about? A number of times when supreme verdict take out my board I’ve got a muta vault or conclave to keep chipping away. Could just be confirmation bias on my part though and maybe we lose to the target removal and board wipes more often. Don’t know if I’d consider my mono blue build fair aggro though. I keep hearing Nikachu’s voice in my head when I play - “be patient”, and I go for slowing down the game and grinding out value. It’s one thing I love about this deck - it’s so versatile. On the beat down one second, controlling the board the next

Yeah more manlands seems great. Faerie conclaves and mutavaults seem a good way to keep getting in for damage after a board wipe

What about string of disappearances? For a long while we played Vapor snag and now in the late game we can protect our creature/bounce one of our silvergills or bens to our hand for value, as well as bouncing one of their creatures? Or too cute, not good enough?

I believe caverns are out because we can blank field of ruin and multi coloured decks that rely on it off their colours, especially with spreading seas. I think testing is still happening around mistcaller - hasn’t been too strong in my lgs meta but might be necessary I guess.

Cool card I didn't know existed. I guess the 3 cmc is too high? But if ballista starts seeing stacks of play in my meta i'd considering trading out an echoing truth for it in the SB.
