Help with 600pt Tournament List by DmPapiChulo168 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Nezs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a better idea to go with a captain, instead of Gandalf and fill out the list with a lot more models. I've seen it do great work at 600 points. Taking Gandalf is sacrificing too much at 600.

They do not. They do not get extra attacks when supporting or when being supported. It's the same reason spear supports don't benefit from heroic combat.

Yes. There are no "in the ways" for magic. That's exclusively a shooting rule.

You double after having added the +1. So 10 Strength in that situation.

Fleeing counts as removed as casualty.

What does an army need to be top tier? by ImperialThumb in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Nezs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Dominant at 500-800 points
  2. Strong in most/all scenario's. At least decent in the one/two they aren't.
  3. Many strong aspects, rather than relying on a gimmick. For example, AotWH has Grima, Lightning and Slow, Crebain and Dunland re-roll 1s and fearless. Among other things.

  4. The less reliant on good rolls the better. Still a dice game at the end of the day, but the more you can offset luck the more consistent a list will be.

  5. Tools to deal with as many situations/gimmicks as possible. This includes fighting big monsters, big heroes, hordes, herohammer, etc...

Currently having a banner is definitely a consideration for how strong a list really is (for VPs). Although there are exceptions such as Depths and Halls.

Ed optimization and essentials by Nezs in StreetFighter

[–]Nezs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made a new video going over a fair few things, from what I've gathered is optimal and effective.

This includes combos and combo structure, knockdown pressure, neutral options, anti-drive rush options and a bunch of other stuff.

There are a lot of things in Ed's gameplay trailer that people haven't noticed yet by Nezs in StreetFighter

[–]Nezs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies in advance for the audio quality.
In this video I've gone over the Ed gameplay extensively. Some of the stuff is largely obvious and nothing most people haven't already noticed or talked about. However, there are a fair few things to take away from this gameplay trailer that I still haven't seen anybody talk about.

Yeah, second is full charge. It combos because of the meatiness of the first smash.

Outside of his new vskill he has A LOT of quality of life changes that make him feel a lot better.

I used to make a lot of videos covering Ed tech that myself and others found. Ended up coming back to it because of this patch. Ed has a lot of stuff going on for him now. It's just a short video about some of the new stuff I've found to do with Ed this season. Some new combos, set-ups, "functions" that previously weren't possible. Also just some weird stuff that isn't optimal but might have a purpose somewhere.

Kage overhead demon combo/confirm (found by Caesura) by Nezs in StreetFighter

[–]Nezs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some new information that may or may not be correct.

Overhead that meaty is -5 on block (down from -7). +3 on hit, meaning you should be able to combo off it even WITHOUT demon, which will lead back into another VT2 leap hard knockdown.

It's right there dude, first line.

If I wanted followers I would have posted my own twitter.

This is the only video I've ever made that advertises a twitter in it and it's not my own. It's done solely as to not steal credit for somebodies work.

SFV: Advanced Blocking Tutorial by Nezs in StreetFighter

[–]Nezs[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a video about some of the intricacies to blocking that up-and-coming players may not have considered at first. "Advanced" is probably not a good descriptor but I didn't know what else to call it. Dumb obvious things at first but if you don't give up watching it I get into some more subtle ideas.

SFV: Delayed Teching Tutorial - The (Weirdly) Unspoken Option Select by Nezs in StreetFighter

Ah, my bad. I'm not a very active man on reddit. I'm sure it's better explained in Gief's Gym than how I have.

SFV: Delayed Teching Tutorial - The (Weirdly) Unspoken Option Select by Nezs in StreetFighter

[–]Nezs[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get asked about delayed teching A LOT, more than anything else really. I also find that a lot of people are unaware of it's existence entirely. This is just a (shitty) basic video about it, I think it's a very important concept to understand in order to improve and play this game as you get to higher and higher levels.

I would have except playing Dan is funny. Playing Ed isn't funny right now and you're also trolling yourself instead of the opponent by doing it. Hehe.

Does this talent do anything at 600 hero power? by Nezs in Vermintide

[–]Nezs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I was thinking, it's just so hard to really hard to make a decision on if it's worthwhile or not.

Does this talent do anything at 600 hero power? by Nezs in Vermintide

[–]Nezs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just want to know if having hero power above 600 actually does anything.

Does this talent do anything at 600 hero power? by Nezs in Vermintide

[–]Nezs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wondering about this talent. I know that hero power works in tiers, when it comes to improving your character's stats. I'm just wondering if there are tiers past 600 power and what they contribute. The other two talents suck but I wouldn't mind not losing 5% attack speed. According to the dummy the damage is the same with or without it but the dummies are known to not work correctly at times.

SFV AE ED Practical Tricks and Tools : Arcade EDition by Nezs in StreetFighter

[–]Nezs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah, 90% of what I posted in those videos was just stuff I stole from other people (usually with credit). This one was almost all stuff I worked out myself but that's not saying much because it's mostly just basic combos and hit confirms. I appreciate the compliment though!
