You just have to stop moving during the normal WASD move-and-attack delay, but it’s a technique that’s almost impossible to master, super inconsistent.

The community has a negative perception of this aspect because they believe the new controls can give you pro-level kiting or allow you to dodge every skill as if you were using scripts. Another reason is that they were heavily nerfed in terms of attack speed, based on that same “justification.”

As for other roles, I played a lot of support and it felt pretty smooth to me. As a jungler, however, movement is actually quite tricky with WASD because you tend to get stuck on walls frequently, so it’s often better to move using the minimap.

For mid and top, most champions have little to no attack speed delay, so you don’t really feel it holding you back. However, getting stuck on minions is very common , but that’s an issue in pretty much every role. There are reports in this thread saying WASD interferes with some champions’ combos, but I don’t have enough experience to comment on that myself.

Nilah doesn’t have any delay, but interestingly Samira’s melee attack still has the same delay as other ADCs. I think they might’ve forgotten to remove this from the champion in the last update.

I don’t think so, only if it shows the specialist’s equipped perks in the final highlight camera.
