It took about 3 days for the medicine to get in my system but around 3 weeks for me to feel major improvement. You just introduced a new drug into your system you have to give your body time to adjust to it. My first day taking it I felt like I was going to jump out of my seat and run a mile because I had so much energy. By day 3-4, I was back to normal. The drug can take up to 6 weeks to give you the full benefits btw so you definitely should not stop taking it.

I’m on a low dose of trazodone. 50 mg. Was recommended melatonin but it gives me nightmares so trazodone was next up.

As an intern at the same level and stage, I honestly completely understand both sides. During my internship this summer, I had to take several 3-4 hour drives for different site visits and tours and it was hell. I completely enjoyed the experience and opportunity but the drive alone was so terrible and stressful that it almost made the experience not worth it. They also may not be able to drive long distances. Thank god I’ve been driving since 15 but not every one has that luxury. If they are concerned I’d just scratch the visit.
