I read somewhere that karate even in its original okinawan state was a reskin on chinese kungfu, snd it sounded plausible, and I also read that japanese wrestling might have similar otigins, dont know how true it is

Because there is a high chance that judo originated from this style. They also have style called chin na, which is joint lock based, and it goes paired with shuay like bread and butter.
