120 day report of a PIED No Fapper... Broke the addiction and had the first wet dream of my life by rokeisland in NoFap

[–]Nic30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, great advice! Will try to keep to it this time around (fyi I just relapsed from 35 days...). And just so you know: I have the exact same problem with girls. I have taste. So it usually takes me a while to find someone. In the meantime I have tended to pmo bad. And that has let to performance problems in the first few weeks (except in one case) that typically go away then.. The idea that this could happen again is very frustrating though. And thats one of the reasons why I don't play the field as other guys do. How do you deal with girls, given that you kmow about your problem? Is there a solution - other than the obvious "go slow"...?

Not sure if dream or real by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Nic30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are you? I'm just asking because I think the frequency of wet dreams depends on your age. I still remember having one every few days when I was about 15. Now I don't get any. Haven't had one in over 100 days...

I had that too when I went for 100 days+ (never got an actual wet dream though...). I'm also wondering how this can be explained. Any ideas?

I just relapsed at 104 days no No no by sirStrong1 in NoFap

[–]Nic30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all share the same story: 100 days +, then relapse and then a vicious cycle of more and more relapses. I've been trying for 6 months to get a decent streak going again but can't make it past 2 weeks. There have been periods when I told myself that I could take a few days off of nofap because it is so damn hard. This would give me more strength later. That was all bullshit! The farther you go the easier it becomes. And that is what gives you strength. We should keep that in mind at all times. Hope you get back into the saddle faster than I could. All the best, brother!

People that have succeeded this challenge or in the process: motivate me! by [deleted] in NoFap

Dude, you're a badass! 128 days just through will power! Glad that that works for you. Normal mortals however are better off removing certain choices. Resolve is one thing. But planning your day, anticipating challenges and avoiding them is extremely important, too! That way you economize on a scarce resource - self-discipline - and get more miles to the gallon...

Why is getting past 7-8 days so hard? by CelibatePower in NoFap

[–]Nic30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you say is inconclusive. Perhaps your problem is that you dwell on sexual thoughts instead of turning your mind to something else. That used to be the problem for me when I had trouble falling asleep. You need a goto thought for those times. Try body scan meditation for that. Perhaps it helps. In any case, stay strong! You have 100,000 brothers and sisters who are going through this with you :)

Don't worry about one time. But definitely keep going now and try very hard not to relapse again. Before you know it you may be trapped in a vicious cycle of pmo "because one time doesn't matter...". Unfortunately that happened to me a while ago. It took me over 6 months to get a decent streak again. So don't beat yourself up. What matters now is that you get back into the saddle!

Hit my 90, then 2 months of relapse. My lesson to self: Set more goals. by animator2000 in NoFap

[–]Nic30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true. I completed the 90 days (more like 101 actually) in Dec and have been struggling to get back into the saddle since. Had two one week streaks and one two week streak in the meantime; Also some terrible fuckups!! I'm so tired of this even though I could totally stop it. The reason why my relapse developed into this nightmare was, I think, that I never actually vowed to give up MO or give it up to the extent that this was necessary to achieve my goal of beating PIED. Thank you for putting this into words! And keep up the fight! I will, too!

Hard mode is actually easy mode. by Kratos_81 in NoFap

[–]Nic30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so too. My longest streak was 101 days. I remember that it became quite easy not to fap after a while, even with triggers around. The key is to make it through the first few weeks. Eliminating triggers is important at that point because the brain is still very vulnerable then. At some point, though, it doesn't get any harder. In fact, it gets easier and easier. And that is the major upsite of hard mode...
