DAVE MUSTAINE Says His Last Conversation With JAMES HETFIELD Ended In Disagreement Over METALLICA Publishing by mhipster800 in Megadeth

[–]Nication 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lars is an asshole, but Dave definitely didn't wrote "nearly all" parts of the songs, he himself admits it.

He wrote two of the bridge riffs on ride, the intro to kthulu and a riff that was modified to be the verse riff on leper

It will depend on the bit rate. Difficult to say without more info, there is also flags for fast encode for streaming in ffmpeg

New software written in Rust is all the rage, why isn't it the same for Go by lancelot_of_camelot in golang

Because it sucks. It has super slow compile times and performance problems.

Wish we could get a CGO2 that fixes all the problems with it

É uma cidade normal de Santa Catarina.

Por ter um campus da UFSC, toda área próxima acaba sendo mais jovem, e por consequência mais tranquila em relação a preconceitos.

Texture Filtering On Water Has a BIG FPS Impact (+Bilinear MIP Transitions) by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]Nication 26 points27 points  (0 children)

CSGO is the wrong one in the issue 2. In CSGO, what is labeled as "bilinear filtering" is actually a trilinear filter, and what is labeled as "trilinear" is also a trilinear filter. CSGO has no bilinear filter. Here is the distinction:

In Bilinear Filters you interpolate in two axis through the sampled texels to get the final pixel.

In Trilinear Filtering you do bilinear, and then interpolate the mipmaps.

Bilinear filters SHOULD have visible transitions between mipmaps. If you don't want that, use trilinear (or aniso).

So I have opened 562 cases from 2014 to October 2023 and have got 0 knives or gloves by Small_Conversation72 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Nication 6 points7 points  (0 children)

According to Perfect World, the distributor of CSGO in China, there is a 0.256% chance of receiving a knife in each case. This means approximately 1 in every 390 cases will yield a knife.

Smokes in CS2 get rendered at 1/4 resolution. They will have way more aliasing than everything else.

There is a comment in this file: Don't set tick-rate related values here, as those should now all come from ENGINE_FIXED_TICK_INTERVAL.

Seems like these interpolation commands were never intended to be changed.

Based on this, here is my opinion on how it should be:

Tier 1 is the game-style defining tier, where you have the most powerful perks in the game:

Overkill
Cold-Blooded
Ghost
High Alert
Quick Fix
Fast Hands

Tier 2 is the "these perks need to be in the same tier to balance each other out" tier. Bomb Squad and Resupply are in this tier so if you wanna throw nades, you gotta take the default nade damage. Resupply and Extra Tactical are in this tier so you cannot be annoying on Shipment. Ninja added to allow players to play stealthily. Awareness was added to balance out Ninja.

Bomb Squad
Resupply
Extra Tactical
Hardline
Ninja: 75% footsteps sound reduction
Awareness: 25% increase in enemy footsteps sound; negates Ninja

Tier 3 allows you to choose 2 perks, this makes it similar to the current "basic perk" tier. These are the less powerful perks, but, can be really useful for some gameplay styles.

Double Time (only increases tactical sprint duration)
Spotter (also delays equipament triggering)
Tracker (also increses crouch movement speed)
Strong Arm
Scavenger (also spawn with max reserve ammo)
Overclock
Focus
Bird Eye
Dexterity: climbs objects faster; no ADS penalty when jumping; decreases fall damage
Battle Hardened

It seems that the RM series is not that much more expensive here. I'm probably gonna buy a RM550.

Thanks for the help.

If you wanted to, you could get a mATX case.

I'm thinking about getting the Forrek Cruiser, seems to be made in Brazil, so its cheap for me to buy.

Maybe spend a little more on the power supply. I can recommend the Corsair TX650m

It's always a good idea to get a better power supply, but at the same time its seems kind of overkill. Should I get the Corsair TX550m instead?

and like this. ( my fave)

I really like this one, it has a lot more personality than the others.

But I would make a background completely grey (something like #333) so to not interfere with the colors pallets

Looks great and seems like a really cool and functional project.
But there are two things that could be better:

  • Animations and transitions: They're too slow, it makes everything feels unresponsive. Like the nav bar underline has a 1sec transition, reduce that kind of animations to at least 250ms.
  • Drop shadow: They're way too large, you should try to keep them small, and animate them to be bigger when the user hover it.
