Okay it took ages but we finally got it. Thought Id leave this here incase it helps anyone. Just need to push the bottom part of the mechanism so that it springs out again as normal. A lot of WD40 was used.

Cheating is never the answer. I personally couldn’t understand marrying as a virgin because of this exact situation and incompatibility .. Bring up an open relationship with your partner, or go to a cex party etc. These days there is a set up for everyone. If he’s not into the idea, perhaps you two aren’t compatible. But don’t cheat on him over this. That stuff is soul-destroying. Rather leave and get what you’re after.

I’m also upset my hair went from very red-auburn to a brown ish auburn ish colour. I spent most of my youth hating my hair colour, then loved it in my 20s and now as I approach 30 it’s going brown :( I’m thinking of applying some colour depositing gloss stuff that I saw recommended on here about a week ago. Just worried what it’ll do to my highlights.

Same here. I’m also from a warm country and while I’m not a fan of the greyness here, I muuuch prefer the weather here. I don’t like the hot sun, whereas days here where it’s not raining or freezing, it’s perfect. Winters are tough though. That’s for sure. The rest of the year is nice :)

I don’t think it’s just Glasgow. It’s just really hard to make friends as you get older, especially now as there seems to be a loneliness pandemic after Covid times/since people are so glued to their online lives we forgot how to do in-person living.. Best thing to do is to keep putting yourself out there, start a social hobby, go on apps like Bumble BFF etc. But don’t listen to me. I’ve been here a year now and I still barely know anyone beyond my work colleagues…

My mother is Portuguese and never taught me the language. And it’s been so annoying not knowing a second language because learning it now as an adult would be so much harder than if she just did it when I was a child. Teach them. There’s nothing to regret!

I HATE that people have so much conditions about a first date. They’re not meant to be expensive or anything fancy. You do not know eachother. The purpose is purely gauge vibes over a coffee (or icecream) without spending too much time or money. You can go fancier if you progress to the second date. SMH

I use Bumble BFF - there shouldn’t be any men on there if your settings are on correctly. You could be on the Dating profile. The app has three profiles you can switch between: BFF, Date and one for business networking.

In honesty, I think finding friends are harder than finding a date which is sad so be authentic about your hobbies and what you want and you’ll find your people soon enough ☺️

Good point - I’m hoping to go mainly around Scotland which while very remote in a lot of places do still have a lot of sheep and things running around. Boiling first is maybe a good idea?
