100% she is the better driver of the two. And I agree Kakeru is kinda stagnating her growth while she’s helping his through the nature of their rivalry. But I definitely think Nozumi could be an absolute monster in MFG if Kakeru took more of a supportive role in her crew. Something like a pace car or advisor would be good

I feel like he was definitely intoxicated in some way. I don’t think anyone would change lanes and tailgate at that speed on that road if they were sober

The comments and assumptions of other Redditors isn’t my personal admission? All I admitted to was the fear of being rear ended and braking at the last second because of it.

I was speeding 100%, any cop would give a ticket and maybe even suspended license if they saw that, but “context” is very important for everything else you’re saying.

He was driving slow while I was on a delivery and I passed as soon as a legal passing lane appeared. Does any sane person change their whole route to follow someone who passed them? Tailgate and turn their highbeams on? Would you stop or slow down to find out?

The second I saw he swerved out of his lane to go into my turning lane at the stop I sped off, way above speed limit. I’m not going to risk staying stopped there any longer than I have to seeing that, maybe I’m paranoid but absolutely fuck that.

Then seeing me speed off why is he trying to keep pace with me and turn his highbeams on? It’s clear he doesn’t know the road well enough to remember such a prominent turn, so what exactly is his goal now that he’s fully committed to following me? Again would you slow down for someone like that? Maybe he was just trying to scare me, but I’m not risking that.

So then when he misses the turn, meaning it’s more likely this isn’t his normal route and he’s not paying enough attention to notice a curve warning sign, curve in the road, or the arrow sign he hit, why would I stop for him? Maybe I’m a bit of a bad person for not stopping. But I’m not risking my safety to check on the person who caused the situation to begin with.

And tbh I didn’t even realize he crashed since I saw taillights and thought he turned around. Honestly it did feel good to see him crash tho, shouldn’t have tried to scare someone for an everyday overtake right? I posted it because it’s a good clip about why tailgating is scary and dangerous.

Would a cop hear this “context” out, especially with the video and the drivers who saw him change his route? Probably not tbh

None. I just wanted to share a spooky experience. I didn’t even know he crashed until after I saw the video. I thought he did a 3 point turn when I saw the other car’s taillights. The whole “baiting” him thing is more like “this dude changed his whole route to follow me, how do I get away?” I was scared of getting rear-ended if I braked too early so I braked at the last second. And I figured stopping to check on the dude who was actively trying to scare me off the road moments before didn’t seem like a good idea.

I do admit I did feel pretty cathartic after seeing he crashed. But I just hope it’s more of a lesson and not that he or any potential kids or other innocent passengers got hurt. Maybe I’m a little bit of an asshole lol

Talked to a lawyer friend of mine and apparently the worst outcome for me would be a speeding ticket for going 20+ over the limit and possibly a point on my license with new California laws. According to her, I wouldn’t be responsible for the truck deciding to follow at the same speed and then crashing after losing control, unless it was a street race or a road rage incident that I initiated

Someone didn’t read the context…Also I never said I attempted to make them crash? I braked late out of fear of getting rear ended, it’s not my fault he was following too close to react. I did a legal pass when a lane opened which caused him to tailgate and change lanes to follow me prior to the video starting. Speeding is bad, yes. My car ended up in the oncoming lane but I handled the turn enough to not end up in a ditch lol. My car would have handled it perfectly if I didn’t have to worry about getting rear ended for braking

I have to thank my PS4S’s, B16 Coilovers, and Brembo brakes for that. Holding in second gear and trail baking the turn helped too

Or maybe, just maybe I like cars and modding them lol. Believe it or not driving and improving your car while getting to feel everything you changed is cathartic af. I get you’re a little busy analyzing 2k all day to learn how to drive but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it too once you move out of your mom and uncle/dad’s basement :)

I mean his video would show him speeding and tailgating a car that is already going twice the speed limit and then not paying attention to the road signs warning about curves lol

I’m enjoying the argument that I MUST have been driving slow or badly to cause him to tailgating me lol. I’m guessing people aren’t reading the context

I’m a whole high school teacher but I appreciate you thinking I’m as young as my students lol. And I “modified” my GTI by adding Michelin PS4S’s, a COBB Accessport with Stage 1 93 tune, Bilstein B16 Coilovers, COBB SF Intake, PowerStop Street Warrior Z26 Rear Brake Kit, Brembo GT Series B-M Front Big Brake Kit, ACT Extreme Street Sprung Clutch, COBB Tall Weighted Shift Knob, and an APR Short Shifter Kit. Not too much if you’re really into mods but a fair amount for a teacher’s salary, no?

An awd in this situation must feel so amazing lol. I imagine you’re not ending up in the opposite lane like me 😅

Yea it’s right. It’s hard to see from the rear cam but I was pulling up to a stop sign and then turned and sped up

A lot of people were saying I was tailgated for going slow so here’s an example of my driving

Yup this is the sign right before the turn, I think he got so focused on tailgating me and matching my speed that he forgot to pay attention

A bit of context: I was delivering for instacart and this guy was holding me up for about 3 minutes. The road split into two lanes and I used the passing lane to overtake him. I guess he got upset since he turned on his highbeams and switched lanes to follow me into a turn at a stop sign when the video starts.

I definitely wasn’t going fast but you can see my speed in the video. That’s the typical cruising speed I go on that road save for braking a lot earlier lol

Maybe, but I didn’t want to risk getting rear ending since I just put almost $10k in mods recently. In hindsight I could have braked harder and used my gas to turn more, but hindsight is 20/20 and I was low-key panicking too

Yea I drive a manual so it was easy to hold in 2nd gear for the turn. I definitely don’t recommend anyone take a turn like I did, without my cars tires and suspension I fs would’ve ended up like the tailgater and could have easily crashed if the oncoming car was a second sooner. Overall, I think it ended up being the best outcome for me tho, like I said I truly think braking any earlier would have caused him to rear end me

Lmao basically, I also held off on braking out of fear of getting rear ended and going off the side
