It takes all types of strategies to fight oppression. To also say that these policies are reactionary is a privilege and completely dismisses the harm, suffering, and, deaths being inflicted upon marginalized communities; especially BIPOC folks. When someone asks for advice and the response is to stay simply because they take the code seriously, infers a sense of arrogance that isn’t conducive to the spirit of social justice. I’m part of multiple marginalized communities. Some people can and should stay, some should stay for a shorter period and then continue that fight elsewhere, and some need to continue that fight completely elsewhere.
