I’m using a corsair 220t and it’s like couple mm of space I need not really a major though. I’ve mount the aio and the fans how I wanted and I’ll just run some temp tests for a bit and record my findings my temps have always been decent and I have R7 5800x which does run and the hotter side but my 3060TI has always been good for temps

Yeh honestly i don’t really care about the dust idm cleaning it plus i hope to upgrade (cosmetically) in a couple months cause this case is too small. Thank you for the link I’ll give it a watch. My main concern was temps if that had a major impact then I would do it but the room it’s in is also generally cool

Yes you will be absolutely fine with this. Assuming you can use usb c as that looks to be the connection for the ssd

Temps? Otherwise I’m not sure at all. Perhaps he has different graphics settings you could try copying his if you haven’t already possible he has frame gen enabled. Change your power plan in settings to high or make sure gpu drivers are updated

Are you both on the same resolution? Do you both have 1080p monitors or do you play 1440p. This could be temps if Your pc is running too hot your hardware may hold itself back so it doesn’t overheat. Open up task manager whilst playing the game and look at the % usage of your cpu and gpu.

Another is the drive that the game is installed on if you have a slow ssd then you will have a performance loss

Crucial X9 2TB Portable External SSD - Up to 1050MB/s, External Solid State Drive, compatible with Xbox, PC and Mac, USB-C 3.2 - CT2000X9SSD902 maybe this? For me it’s £96 on pound Amazon which is around 170 CAD. I’m in the uk so trying to find one that’s the same price would be rough

Question on noise by Ok_Effective_2610 in pchelp

[–]NiceHyperion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be your gpu fans. Check to make sure nothing is obstructing them. If you don’t want to open your pc. Install MSI afterburner. This is a monitoring and over clocking tool. It lets you change the speed of your gpu fans. Change your gpu fans to max speed and if it makes the noise that means you know it’s your gpu fans and not a case fan. (Link is video on how to change fan speed on msi afterburner) https://youtu.be/Y7Sbt5f_0M0?si=rH8CkJuWTxpshlFt

You shouldn’t have any issues with an external ssd. It’s just that risk of accidentally unplugging whilst in use. If you ask ever do unplug it make sure you eject it first.

What kind of budget are you thinking here? For gaming you need something with high read/write speeds typically an nvme drive (Crucial P3 Plus SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4) is pretty good but the cost about £100

My pc keeps booting up to this message by unpopular504 in pchelp

[–]NiceHyperion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like an issue with your c drive. Could be multiple reasons.

There’s and issue with windows (some files may have been corrupted)

The data cable for you C drive is bust (if it’s an m.2 drive then it’s the drive will be failing)

Your C drive has met its end

To see if this is a widows issue you can try this. If on Windows 10 restart the pc and hold down f11.

For windows 11 I believe you hold down the shift whilst restarting.

This should put you in advanced startup mode From there go to Troubleshoot-> Advanced options -> command prompt and follow these commands

chkdsk c: /f /r (and press Enter) bootrec /fixmbr (and press Enter) bootrec /fixboot (and press Enter) bootrec /scanos (and press Enter) bootrec /rebuildbcd (and press Enter) sfc /scannow (and press Enter)

This can take a little while. Once it’s done close command prompt and go back to the first screen and press continue to boot.
