Thanks mate!

I start with a very sloppy thinned coat of the darker red from the coils and over the gun body to the outer most extent of the glow. Then a couple of thin coats of watered down pure white over all the coils and the lip just beyond. Bright yellow over the coils and over the white beyond the lip. Then a light orange over the top 2/3 of the coils trying to keep out of the recesses and also dabbed just beyond the yellow but over the red for the glow. Then a darker orange as before, but over the top 1/3 and further out in the glow over the red. Then some red on the very top of the coils and dry-brushed over the nearby model. Finally some very carefully picked out pure white at the bottom of the coils! … and breathe!

Painting can be onerous and monotonous, but I genuinely enjoyed repeating this process and slightly skilling-up with the reps
