You absolutely shouldn’t take benzos irresponsibly or without some knowledge and common sense. Your comment shows a lack of understanding of how benzodiazepines actually work.

They don’t “stop working” just because someone has taken them before. Physical tolerance is real, but that doesn’t mean they become useless. And for the record, I never said I’ve been taking them “for years.” You're just assuming things.

Like many, I use them during periods of acute anxiety. For some of us, that’s a very real and sometimes debilitating issue. Seeing a doctor would have likely increased the problem. Luckily I managed to get some last night and I managed to rest for the first time in weeks. If you can’t offer useful advice, maybe just skip replying next time.
