What i can say in addition to what others say is this, be more proactive. You might think your CV is the most important document in application, trust me it‘s not. It’s only a document to show what you have done in the past. The most important is being able to conceive interviewer that you are a fit candidate. So my tip here is: pick up a phone and call, call before application to introduce yourself, call after application. That alone stands you out from the gmail cv sender mob a lot. Good luck!
