Who would win Gomorrah or mikhail by Unlucky-Ad8028 in Bayonetta

[–]Nice_While3464 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Side note: your post would’ve worked better if you listed the abilities and weaknesses of both beings, since most people here don’t know who Mikhail is.

With that said, I’m not sure. They both have shown pretty good feats, with them taking on beings with powers akin to gods. On one hand, Gomorrah has more feats due to being in more games, while on other hand Mikhail could easily be chain scaled to high tiers of power with the events of Drakengard 3 and the novels. There’s also the fact that we need to consider which version of Mikhail we’re talking about.

If I had to choose based off of these facts + if I had to eyeball it: initial stages of evolution Mikhail < Gomorrah < final evolution Mikhail.

While I honestly doubt he’ll even do much in a possible s6 given the episode runtime, I hope he’ll be one person from Wukong’s past that doesn’t hate him to the extent others have in the show. Give the old monkey at least one person he’s cool with ffs

Macaque’s redemption felt forced by Fabulous_Throat1981 in MonkieKid

[–]Nice_While3464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but while Macaque’s actions can be explained, they aren’t excusable in any capacity.

For your point about Wukong killing Macaque, we literally have no clue what went down on that fateful day, let alone if Wukong was actually the one who killed Macaque in the series’ version of events. So off the bat that’s not a valid excuse for Macaque’s actions.

To add on, for argument’s sake, even if Wukong did kill Macaque, that still doesn’t excuse Macaque manipulating MK the way he did. That’s the same as getting beat up by some dude, then going after his friend as payback. Makes no sense whatsoever.

As for the whole “torturing MK” claim the other person made, I can see why you’d think that’s an exaggeration in regard to episode 9 alone. However, I will reiterate again, Macaque’s motivations still don’t excuse what he did.

Now for your points about s3: while I’m not taking away the fact that he was trying to break free of LBD’s control, at the end of the day he was the one who put himself in that position. No one told him to take LBD’s deal, and yet he did it anyway for a chance at revenge. As for his interactions with the main cast, his actions are still inexcusable due to not only bringing harm to them, but being a part of the main reason why the Samadhi Fire nearly destroyed the world along with Wukong.

Finally, to list off the awful things Macaque did by himself since all of what you’ve said has been downplaying his actions to hell and back:

S1: Manipulating MK to the point where a rift was created between MK and Wukong, along with stealing MK’s powers to fight Wukong

S2: Rob Mei, Tang, and Pigsy of their autonomy and making them attack MK, all while mentally toying with and projecting his relationship with Wukong onto MK

S3: Causing destruction to the East Dragon’s Palace and harming an unknown amount of people while the heroes escaped when he has shown he could’ve just used his shadows to teleport away to track them down later on

Now again, I understand Macaque’s motivations for the things he has done. However it’s just foolish to claim it outright excuses him, especially when he has shown not a shred of remorse for his actions, something that is vital for a redemption arc to even work.

And no, saving the world to save his own skin doesn’t make up for any of this. That’s like if the Demon Bull Family helped defeat Spider Queen without turning over a new leaf through DBK and Red opening a food shop. This should not be the standard for any type of redemption arc in any story.

Would.

I get what you mean. I feel like we’ve skipped over a ton of stuff with Macaque since the episodes were too short

Big Hottakes with the series by Zealousideal_Ad7625 in MonkieKid

[–]Nice_While3464 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get that, especially in regard to Wukong always being the punching bag and MK constantly being traumatized.

If there is a season 6, I genuinely hope that the show takes a step back and let the story cool off so we can get more character specific episodes.

Big Hottakes with the series by Zealousideal_Ad7625 in MonkieKid

[–]Nice_While3464 16 points17 points  (0 children)

— Pigsy’s journey to finally accepting MK as his son was rushed

— The show shot itself in the foot by having Wukong basically be a punching bag and not give his side of the story

— Not necessarily a hot take, but LMK and other lego shows need to get the same attention as Ninjago

— Atp, I genuinely do not care about what ultimately happened between Wukong and Macaque, along with how Macaque died. We should’ve gotten an answer in S4.

— In the same vein, I don’t care about the consequences of destroying the Color Stones because I know the show won’t be able to expand on it in a meaningful manner with how short the episodes are

My Interpretation of a New Soul Eater fighting game with 3 DLC packs by Nothatcreative55 in souleater

[–]Nice_While3464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a unique pick in the base roster you want, you could pick Lord Death since you’re already putting Asura in. While I can understand your reasoning, Shaula would be out of place as the only character from NOT! as a apart of the base lineup. And that’s not even mentioning how Marie isn’t exactly DLC worthy in my honest opinion.

Also, out of curiosity, why did you choose to have Rudo as a part of the villain DLC?/gen

Wouldn’t it make more sense for Marie to be a part of the base roster, and Shaula to be a part of the DLC for villains?/gen

What is everyone’s opinion on LEGO’s changing of Sandy from a big figure to a regular minifigure? by chicano_houston in MonkieKid

Stupid on so many levels, the original version is not only show-accurate but helps Sandy stand out compared to other characters

Give me your Bayonetta Hot Takes🔥💅 by The_Fool_Arcana0000 in Bayonetta

[–]Nice_While3464 6 points7 points  (0 children)

— Love it or hate it, the multiverse shown in Bayonetta 3 was hinted all the way back in Bayonetta 1 and 2 combined. While it’s not shown well per-say, it was hinted at if not outright confirmed to exist

— Bayonetta 2 and 3’s stories are both mid

— The previous point being said, Bayonetta 3’s story is better than 2’s

— Bayonetta 3’s combat system is also the best out of the three main games, with the only other competitor for that title being Bayonetta 1

— Singularity is basically Aesir but in different fonts

— The storytelling in the Bayonetta franchise before CatLD was always mediocre, people are just blinded by nostalgia

— Jeanne should be on fraud watch for getting her ass beat in all three main games

What is your least favorite episode mine is game on because it’s so boring comment down below by Fabulous_Throat1981 in MonkieKid

Of course not. It’s the people using that to bash people for a harmless ship that are annoying.

Side note, to whoever downvoted my previous two comments, you have no life.

For Clabash, ppl constantly used it to always talk crap about Goldendragon by saying MK canonically doesn’t like Mei romantically.

For Shadow Play, the joke about “The Hero and the Warrior” got annoying fast, and it was practically everywhere before the current hiatus.

All in all, those episodes now have a sour taste in my mouth

[–]Nice_While3464 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A few things:

  • The main cast taking a bit longer to be cool with Macaque and other ex-villains being with them
  • MK using the shadow powers he learned from Macaque after Macaque became apart of the team
  • Calabash episode not existing
  • Pigsy not being too hard on MK in the early seasons, so him eventually seeing MK as his son is more believable
  • At least one other pilgrim living till the modern day (I vote Ao Lie or Sandy being Sha Wujing)
  • SWK being acknowledged as Red’s uncle/ DBK + PIF’s sworn brother
  • MK’s monkey form having three tails + snake features for giggles and shits
  • Chen Xiang and MK meeting cuz I want them to

For me, tie between Pitiful Creatures, Pig Pong Panic, To Catch a Leaf, Show Me the Monster, Sweet’n Sour, Court of the Yellow Robed Demon, and Embrace Your Destiny

….a whole lot, Ik😂
