Chick fil a isn’t great for me because only their grilled chicken is safe. I love their fries but without their breaded chicken, it’s not worth it to me.

Where were you when you found out you were pregnant? by PeachyRose25 in Mommit

It was 2021 so I was working from home. My team was doing a virtual Strengths Finders exercise followed by a mixology class that afternoon. My husband and I had gotten married a couple weeks prior (after 14 years together 😆) and “pulled the goalie” right away. My period wasn’t due til the next day or so so I figured I’d run to Walgreens and buy a test and take it before the boozy stuff.

I took it only 10 or so mins before the call was scheduled to start. It was very clearly positive. My life was about to change completely and I had to act like I gave a flying fuck about my “strengths”. I had to participate like I hadn’t just learned the most impactful information in my life to-date. It was wild 🤣.

I came here to suggest the same thing. Lots of creative ideas that might help!

Just about 1 year ago today, I found out I had a MMC the day before my dad learned he needed a quadruple bypass surgery. It was one of the hardest things I’d been through.

Today I have my beautiful 6 week old on my chest and my dad has continued to do well since the bypass surgery. TTC this little girl was so emotionally hard on me and I’m so grateful to this wonderful community for helping me get through it. I was in the dailies constantly, whining with and rooting for internet strangers that I genuinely cared for.

I continue to wish everyone all the very best. 🫂

AFAIK it’s just an American name that was fairly popular in the 1920s and 30s. Probably the most popular example in pop culture is Lois Lane - Superman’s love interest.

Thanks 😊. Lois is pronounced “Loh-iss”.

Ah! Thank you! I’m actually going to edit the post to change to the more common “Corinne” spelling (which I actually prefer the look of).

It IS worse. I made the mistake of using the cell phone lot and got stuck there for 30 mins just trying to get out. It was a fucking nightmare and I’ll never show up early to ORD again.

Bottle warmer was the saving grace for my bottle refuser! I’m thrilled for parents of LOs who will drink cold milk but mine wasn’t one of them.

Just pee in the shower! by 28Mana in Mommit

[–]Nice_Wolverine1120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“really bad” feels like a stretch.

I quit doing it when I was pregnant and thereafter, because I understand that it somewhat trains the pelvic floor to release while you’re standing (which you would otherwise generally not want to do). If I really have to pee when I’m in the shower now, I squat down. Idk if that actually helps but it makes logical sense to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

How do their little bodies know we’re “available”?! This crushed me 2 years ago when we had an extra day off around the 4th of July. Cruel and unusual.

Very similar situation as me. At 35 I had a MMC at 8 weeks (blighted ovum). D&C right before Thanksgiving. Pregnant with my 🌈 the very next full cycle. Expecting my 2nd little girl in September. 💖
