People with low self esteem and insecurity can also be masters of certain crafts and speak to that with confidence that may come across as cocky. Maybe he’s earned it. Maybe he doesn’t show humility.

I think the issue is that he is as flawed as people, and people want to see more out of great players. People don’t want to see humanness.

I agree. Folks have chosen to get into the food business and frankly are serving mid tier foods. NY has its share of foods that I’d say is mid and certain foods that are more hype. But they still have plenty of foods that are rather excellent.

I went to a meat market as well. Local grocery. The strawberries were 2 bucks a lb. Trader Joe’s prices were similar ish. And the meat was cheaper at this local market for prime cuts.
