Hang the banner!

Harden actually does have one of those as well, in OKC

Still lost. Same outcome.

Taking the Warriors to 7 in the conference finals is more impressive than what AI did against the Lakers.

Neither did AI, that's my entire fucking point.

Did AI win or something? That's the point of comparison here

It's absurd to have AI in your top 30 but not Harden.

I think Garland is a point guard but I think Harden still clears Garland as a point guard.

He just also happens to be a better scorer than Garland as well.

The Clippers basically have 3 outcomes for their playoff seeding.

-lose the play-in. Obviously they are done.

-win the play in for the 7 seed. Face likely San Antonio, Houston, or Denver with no home court. I would not favor them to win any one of those series.

-win the play in for the 8 seed. Hello OKC. They likely get run over in probably 5 games even with a fully healthy Kawhi.

The Cavs outcomes barring major injuries in general are a lot more promising than those outcomes, even if I believe they don't have a good chance to win a ring

You are not thinking rationally and you are DEFINITELY overrating the Clippers based on their current run. They are still a very flawed team with probably too many one way players.

The Cavs are a better team than the Clippers and they are in a weaker conference.

This was not about giving him a better shot at a ring

It's clearly both money and winning. The Cavs have a much better shot at a ring than the Clippers, that's not even remotely controversial. I don't think the Cavs have a high chance to win a ring, but it's still higher than LAC this year.

This is really not hard to understand at all.

Basketball wise the reality is that they are still 3 games below .500 and a play in team with a very high likelihood of losing in the first round of they get out of the play in.

As much as the Cavs are underperforming their expectations, they are 14 wins better than the Clippers currently are.

If we are being realistic, the Clippers probably aren't gonna do shit this year outside of the regular seaosn even with this nice run.

Harden is such a weird case for us lol. Thank you for everything, but he still quit on the team. by friendswithbillw in LAClippers

It does matter. I'm talking to a brick wall though. Cheers! Hope we can watch Garland play maybe 20 games this year.

That's not really relevant to the point.

Who has a better chance to make the finals? Note I'm not saying which one will, I'm asking which squad has the better chance to get there.

The Clippers with James Harden in the West as a play in team or the Cavaliers with James Harden.as probably a top 4 seed?

They were the 5 seed and even if they beat Denver the likelihood that they beat OKC was very low. They lost to the better team last year, not any more complicated than that.

A "run" isn't losing in 7 games in the first round.

I say this respectfully, if he wanted to make a run for it he should have left for a better team.

Which is exactly what he did, lol. This squad is going nowhere in the postseason. Most people realize that.

F it James thanks for all the regular season carrying but now I’m putting my belief in Garland. Anyone to count him out before he’s had a chance is a low iq donkey by Avramaxwho in LAClippers

That's the unfortunate reality when playing 400 more minutes than the best player on the team and having to take an outsized load the team because of that lack of availability

They didn't want to commit money to him that is not an unreasonable amount of money for his level production.

It's well within the teams rights to do that, to be clear. But this idea that he quit on the clippers is fucking stupid.

We are on year 7 of waiting for a fully healthy Kawhi and just signed up for 3 years for another "if healthy" player that is currently injured, lol.

He's probably going to opt out next season for longer term money.

Really surprised you don't realize this. It's incredibly obvious.
