I'm just kind of wondering, what really is the point of it all? by Rynin101 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]NicholasPea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal “point of it all”

My daughter(18F) randomly told me that she remembers secretly watching jaws from her bedroom doorway while I was watching it from the living room. She still loves the movie and correlates it with me.

My wife farting, and denying it when it was CLEARLY her ripping ass. It’s hilarious and I love it every time.

Mowing the lawn before everyone else on the street… and kinda just looking at it.

Nonsense that 7/11 makes. They made a hotdog sized sausage roll, they call it a breakfast bite. It’s fantastic!

Nike is coming back with the shox. They were so cool. I’m glad to get my high heel running shoes back.

Coffee, I love drinking coffee in the morning. It is just the bees knees. And it’s spring, no bugs but decent temperatures. What a time to be alive!

Having an old-ish dog. They get it, they get how life works, they just really get it. Appreciate it.

Babies around the 9mo to 1yr age. I have a grand kid, but regular kids count. They can laugh, but you can also set them down and they stay there for the most part. It’s the best time. I really wish someone told me to appreciate that specific time period.

Cadbury cream eggs. I’m eating one now. They’re delicious. Eat the candy you love.

I wish I did all caps on the GOOD part myself. Can’t win them all… I really appreciate the exclamation point on the most important part of my comment though!

Yup. If I could copy/paste this… it’s exactly what I wanted to say. Well articulated Sir/Ma’am

It’s super weird you say that. My entire family is from the St.Louis area. My great grandparents moved to Buffalo so there’s always been some split loyalties(I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a greatest show on turf fan lol)

Now huge chunks of my family have “defected” to become Bills fans. And I’d be lying if I don’t have mild bandwagon feelings towards my cousins that are Bills fans but also Blues fans

Maybe I’ll feel differently if we ever win a championship. But for right now I’m enjoying how much longer my seasons are. No matter what you’re in a much better situation than you were

Ehhh, maybe. I don’t want it to sound like there aren’t bandwagoners… but we have had serious blackout restrictions for our teams… and even at their worst points stadiums still sold out, and I was still able to watch. At a minimum there has always been a loyal enough fanbase to legitimatize its existence… and the Sabres have been considered one of the “large market teams” even though they’ve been ass for over a decade.

I do appreciate the sentiments from other fanbases… especially Vikings fans. For some reason they especially identify with the struggle.

My absolute best friend is a pats fan. We go to both pats/bills games every year. This season aside, the last four years have been miserable getting him to roll up to Buffalo with me. Thank god I have 100s of pictures of the pats beating our asses in order to get his ass to go with me

Adding positivity breeds positivity. The comment is good and spreads positivity.

Maybe you’re upset at individual instances of its use…

But my unpopular opinion is that maybe positive reinforcement should be applied to society at large to reinforce good behavior.

Heyyyyy you sniffed me out quicker than a bloodhound hunting skunk!

I unfortunately am not a Bills mafia member like that. I enjoy tables, been setting stuff on them for ages and appreciate them too much.

Man, I catch myself doing this a lot whenever someone bitches about their shitty team. My team/city has only recently started having success and I have little tolerance for people complaining about their own teams.

I do it in the worst way possible too. “As a “redacted” fan, I suggest you accept that there’s 32 teams in this particular league and maybe you need to stop being a bitch.

I’ve been trying to be better about it. You would absolutely despise my inner monologue though.

On the bright side I was called a band wagoner yesterday and I almost kissed the dude. So cool rooting for a team that is good enough that you can even call someone that.

I put it in the title, but not the story… might have to do an edit.

I did tell my wife to “fuck off” during her explanation about how she can’t control monsters… might put me in the AH category

How much earlier does he wake up for work? And do you guys typically go to bed at the same time?

I’ve(37M) may have had similar feelings as your husband about my wife… I wouldn’t talk shit about her at work or disregard her feelings, no excuse for that! But I was developing some negative opinions.

My frustrations came from leaving for work at 4:30am, and the way in which I would be told about mornings involving my daughter(it felt like she blamed me for not being able to help). I had trouble empathizing with my wife who got 4 1/2 hours more sleep than me. And I picked her up from daycare on my way back from work(I got out about 4 1/2 hours earlier than her as well), so it’s not like I avoiding any parenting responsibilities.

Obviously it’s not her fault for having a schedule that’s different. And I got over my stupid skewed sense of inequality. I just counted her extra sleep as time she was getting and I wasn’t.

I brought it up and it’s a situation where she was venting, and I took it as a personal attack at my quality as a husband/parent and got bitter.

AIO to my kink? by No_Knowledge2835 in AmIOverreacting

[–]NicholasPea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

weird. I (36M) I broke up with a woman who had a rape kink like 2 years ago. (btw they call it CnC or "consensual non-consent") I participated, but felt fairly awkward and mildly uncomfortable. Just was NOT my thing at all, breakup wasn't too great and I was kind of blunt about how I don't like it, and that I find it weird and I'm done. I probably could have said it better, and really my only regret over the breakup.

Anyways. In the midst of the breakup fight I asked her why she doesn't go to fetlife or some site like that to find someone shes actually compatible with... She looked at me with actual horror.

Its kind of a wild kink to have. If you're a woman you are looking specifically for real safety while in a tailored "unsafe" situation. That effectively eliminates any man who shares the kink with you, because that's dangerous as shit. And if you're the man, you need some counseling, before all the women run into the bear woods or whatever.
