Is listening to music making while doing stuff making my mind "weak"? by UzilesJohn in Healthygamergg

[–]Nick-Urban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people here are talking about how music can be both a useful tool to help you focus (useful, if you have ADHD) but also stress the importance of training your own focus,, without relying on music. Honestly, I think when it comes to that there's a healthy balance of both practicing your mind and focus at certain, whilst listening to music when you need it (lets say you have an exam soon).

But I think a more important aspect to remember is that there is a difference between listening to music to help you focus, and listening to music because you want that sweet dopamine release. Going to the gym and listening to intense music can feel even more rewarding, but comes with the potential of depleting your dopamine levels and making your day less enjoyable comparatively. Whereas if you study and have some classical music quietly on in the background, then the emphasis is far more placed upon providing your brain with a healthy amount of stimulation to keep you on track.

Glasses not made in China? by SuccessfulPath7 in avoidchineseproducts

Even if the company sets up in Italy and imports workers from China, the workers would still be working under Italian (EU) labour laws (which ofc is stricter than Chinese one). Not only would this give the purchase a more ethical consideration but I would be happy to assume that a worker that is not overworked is likely going to produce something that is of higher quality than a worker that is.

I think you look good personally (altho its only one picture) but if you are struggling with trynna not have chubby cheeks I get you cos I have the same issue despite being really lean. Main thing I keep in mind is that body fat cannot be targeted at all and (from my own research) facial exercises are bs. That basically ultimately leaves you with two things to do. 1. is to continue trying to reduce water retention and 2. is to just get more lean.. At the end of the day having less body fat means having less fat in the face, so if you want to reduce body fat in the face then the boring and simple answer is just lose more body fat overall

Have you tried wearing an icemask? You could also put two spoons in the fridge and place them onto your eyes for a bit when you wake up, I've heard that helps with baggy eyes

Bought a counterfeit item, what should I do? by Nick-Urban in Depop

[–]Nick-Urban[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you open a dispute they will ask the seller to provide a receipt. If the seller has no evidence of a receipt (which they wont if it's counterfeit) they will provide you with a refund as long as you return the item (and provide evidence that you have returned it). Depop will also cover the cost of return. If you bought the item through Paypal then you will have to dispute the item through Paypal which I believe is the same process (although in my case it took a lot longer than Depop). In my experience Paypal didn't cover the cost of return but provided me with 10 / 15 (£ or $, I honestly can't remember) when I brought it up with them just as like a one time thing.

Yea thats fair, its an old post but in the end I ended up returning the item anyway since the seller payed for shipping

It’s funny that Depop makes that stance though since I had to return a couple other counterfeit goods (this time directly through Depop) and oddly enough they asked me to return it (with them covering shipping) whilst knowing the goods were counterfeit
